The last NBA game I played was literally NBA2K - 25 years ago.

I'm curious, since the game designers have apparently incorporated WNBA players, if they program the players to perform "realistically", meaning the female players aren't able to dunk during game play.

There are WNBA players who can dunk.

only 8 have ever dunked in a game. 2 are active.https://www.sportingnews.com/us/wnba/news/wnba-players-dunk-record-brittney-griner-2024/934de9277f292a8beac56a1d

It has to be part of the NBA game, 'cause the only people who would buy a stand-alone product are the WNBA players themselves.

They could give it away with the purchase of a Subaru.

Of course because most people who play sports video games are guys. Duh.

Let me guess you watch sports to be entertained.

Absolutely... which is why I don't watch WNBA.*

*I have watched a couple of games to see Caitlin Clark play.... she's entertaining.

This should excite you roostra

The “two-handed throw down” is at 8:45.

It reminded me of a “dunk” at a Chapel Hill High game in 1979……CHHS had a 6’7” center who wasn’t quick or athletic and couldn’t jump. He intercepted the ball at about mid-court and had a clear, uninterrupted court in front of him…..he “dunked” - barely.

Ranzino Smith’s 9th grade team at Phillips Junior High School in 1981 would have lined up and beaten the crap out of that French U18 team.

Right and people hate watching baseball because it is boring but yet recreationally there's baseball/softball leagues all across the country. Watching soccer is boring and yet it's the most popular sport in the world.

There's golf tournaments on TV and bowling. I doubt many people would watch ping pong but man those points can be crazy.

At the end of the day, competition is competition. Stop comparing women's basketball to men's. I stopped watching the PGA and watch the LPGA because I can relate to their choice of clubs.

Look at womens soccer. I see stories of how a women's team got beat by 15 yo boys team or something like that. And the question is why that is relevant. Why do people watch minor league baseball? It's inferior to major league baseball. Why watch college sports? Isn't the professional sports better? With star players? I guess Wake should just quit sports. No one watches them.

The hypocrisy is just unbelievable. Just think of this. Almost 40 years ago the girls in HS were playing with rules for like half court basketball. This while Jordan was sky walking. People expect instantaneous changes.

1. When I watch LPGA it's because I enjoy their choice of skirts.
2. IIRC, the girls BB rules you are referring to went something like, . . ., six player per side. Two restricted to the defensive end. Two restricted to the offensive end. And the final two, named "rovers" who were allowed in both halves of the court. Not a lot of fast breaks in that sort of set up. I think the "thinking" (if that not too much of an absurdity) was that too much physical exertion would either (a) impair the young ladies ability to bear children or (b) would make them "go gay."
