I’m not even sure I know the definition of a liberal or conservative now. It used to be that conservatives liked small government, especially at the federal level. Today, it seems like many “conservatives” are fine with a dictator at the federal level.

It was always a lie. Every bit of it. The hypocrisy and the incoherence and the inconsistency has always been the point. It’s about power for power’s sake.
