The number of Trump voters who call themselves "independents" or "independent minded" and yet vote MAGA 100% of the time is off the charts. They always say they might vote for a Democrat, and yet in every single election there's always something that gives them an excuse to keep voting straight Republican. I've seen Baptist preachers publicly say they're an independent voter and yet privately tell members of their congregation that they can't see how any Christian could vote for a Democrat. Same as it always was.

Dems stay below water because nobody can believe how naive and stupid they were to allow Biden to stay on the ballot until it was too late.

I’m no Dem nor a Pub (Unaffiliated) but still can’t believe how Biden didn’t declare he was one term on Jan. 21, 2021.

I know some on this board said back then that would be folly for him to declare a “lame duck” status straight away, but it was as clear to me as day that there was no other way forward for the Dems if Biden tried to run again in 2024.

I was right.

Democrats would be 5-7 points underwater today regardless of Biden.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but the “I’m not in a party” group has won.

Let’s hope the “Independents” and “moderates” organize themselves into a political party and save us.

I’m not sure what that looks like, at least in the short term.

imo, we have a pretty finite window within which to effect change. For now, it means flipping a handful of R legislators to D.

Once we get over that hump, then we can discuss long term change.

The “I vote for the man and not the party” crowd votes Trumplican. Overwhelmingly. Has for decades.

The US Senate, in particular, and the US House, to a lesser degree, has a strong bias to representing land over people. So does the Electoral College.

America likely hit its highwater mark in 2009.
