So does that mean no Republican President has ever been above 48% approval? Because according to Trump, he has the highest approval ratings ever for a Republican.
Hell! I’m sure according to Trump his masculinity would put a Clydesdale to shame.

Labour has done the brilliant thing of adopting every single thing the Conservative party was doing before voters gave them the boot. It's criminally stupid.
To be fair, the UK got absolutely fucked by Brexit. Labour could be doing better, but the love child of Churchill and Thatcher couldn’t fix what’s wrong there right now. Which is why it’s so spectacularly stupid that American conservatives are cheering on our own form of Brexit.

Morning Consult is a GQP poll? They are generally considered neutral to lean moderate left last I checked.
pardons nycfan... my bad :(

“… Americans are generally not happy about the Republican president’s handling of issues like immigration and the economy but are more positive about his tough-on-crime approach, according to the survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Indeed, the vast majority of Americans, 81%, see crime as a “major problem” in large cities — a concern Trump has seized on as he has deployed the National Guard to the District of Columbia and threatened to expand that model to cities across the country. And his overall approval rating has increased slightly, from 40% in July to 45% now. …”

“… About half of U.S. adults, 53%, say they approve of Trump’s handling of crime, the poll finds.

That’s higher than his approval rating on the economy, immigration and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine — which are in line with his overall approval rating.…”

Who knew that implementing militaristic police states would be a winning strategy?
