Even if Kamala flipped a switch, which was possible, I don't think Bibi would have listened. His own personal survival requires him to keep fighting.
Maybe, maybe not, but if the US cut off Israel's arms, he'd notice and back down.

Just a further reminder that the general populace is largely clueless about politics and has an incredibly shot memory. Trump has certainly done some things he said he would (immigration, tariffs) but has done the opposite of other things (ending wars Day 1, claiming he would not implement Project 2025, for example).

I think you probably meant short memory but I think I like shot memory better.

That map has an almost 1:1 correlation with racism and Trump support. The states that I perceive to be the most virulently racist appear to favor him the most. Maybe I'd swap Wyoming with Alabama, but maybe not.
which is why I submit that his MAGA support has nothing to with the economy and everything to do with him embracing their values. Trump has made folks feel good about being bigots again.

I think it's both. I think you have to remember that the minds of swing voters are not always logical places. There really are a bunch of people who just constantly end up voting against the incumbent party unless things are going great.

I agree and was just responding to Calheel's map of the correlation between racism and support for Trump.

I hope the GQP swing voters who are not MAGAs will vote against the incumbent party in large numbers in the midterms and give the House and possibly the Senate the majority.

That is true about his MAGA support.

But the reason he is president now is because his non-MAGA voters did think he would be better with the economy. That may only be 10% of the electorate, but it was enough to sway the election. In that sense, it was all about the economy.

But when it comes to approval post-election, those voters aren’t going to be nearly as supportive as the racist ones. The more racist, the more they like what is happening.
