You know what is a really, really good idea right now, as wildfires are showing up in more places and frequency... "While giving a status report on border security, Noem added, “and we’re going to eliminate FEMA” " Why at that point in her report? Guess she just had a sudden brain fart.
 
The Table Rock fire has caused evacuations in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood south of Brevard, near DuPont State Forest. Not sure if anyone has been there- it’s a really cool place, a certified Audubon sanctuary with a par 3 golf course (that sometimes has llama caddies) and lots of hiking trails and fishing. My wife’s grandfather lived there when he was alive and we always enjoyed our visits there- hope everything is spared.
 
Sky no longer clear in AVL and the smell is string - same in Fairview where I am as I write this.
