Yeah, I’m concerned about all of those radical Presbyterian sleeper cells.

“Mass shootings in the United States accounted for most extremism-related fatalities last year in the country with over 80% of those murders committed by white supremacists“

I think religion sucks, period. But the Muslim pile-on is nothing short of xenophobia when white supremacy, which is invariably connected to Christianity, gets hand waves.

Those are probably good guys with guns just defending their second amendment rights.

Two points:

1. This attack significantly increases Kash Patel’s chances of being confirmed as FBI head. The news conference this am was straight up embarrassing.. Also, focus of FBI needs to return to fighting home grown terrorism instead of prosecuting pro lifers., traditional Catholics, parents at school board meetings, granny J6ers and White Nationalists.

2. Where the hell is Biden? Is he still cashing his paychecks? Jan 20th can’t get here soon enough so the US will have a functioning, living breathing President.

This should be the default response to every Ramrouser post.

This is a crazy tangent I realize but it's something I have long thought.

Eventually we will have an event or events that eliminate or horribly cripple all these "direct to consumer" rentals of homes and vehicles. Whether we like it or not, the bloated regulations of car rental companies and hotel chains tend to provide a bit more in the way of oversight and public protection.

How many times are we gonna see a Turo vehicle used in such a manner before that business model goes away?

If Airbnb and Vrbo become ready targets for staging missions because of their relative privacy, how long until that sees a crackdown?

Well, the worst mass shooting ever happened in a hotel on the Vegas strip.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember when you could rent a 737 without any hassle at all, and then the 9/11 assholes went and ruined it for the rest of us.

Well, that's the story I'm going with, at least.

There are other factors than just "time" at play, though, that you have to take into consideration.

You may have the time to reasonably secure the Sugar Bowl from known and predictable issues, but not from the unknown potential threat that this attack raises.

Additionally, securing a major bowl game takes a lot of law enforcement resources that are also probably in high demand following a significant terrorist attack. Even if you can reasonably secure the Sugar Bowl, is it worth the LEO resources cost when you also have a time-sensitive investigative & potential prevention task underway?

Finally, even if you're fairly confident that you can secure the Sugar Bowl and have the LEO resources to allocate, there is still value to taking a small amount of additional time to be very confident given the change created by this terrorist attack. That's not simply CYA'ing, that's taking steps to assure reasonable additional precautions against a late-breaking and potentially significant threat.
Based on the FBI press conference just now, it seems that there were false reports yesterday about additional IEDs around town. Given those reports, makes sense that they needed time to check out those reports and make sure there weren’t any IEDs on timers anywhere near the Superdome.

Yep and with complete morons running our country it will get worse.
