Biorhythms for ACCT UNC v Clemson: 9:30 Start

In the past two seasons, UNC has fallen behind its opponent by double digits a staggering 26 times, including 18 times by 15 points or more. Seven times the Tar Heels managed to come from behind to win.
The double digit number doesn't greatly concern me. With the pace and style of the modern game, a small lead and two threes, a ten point lead is quickly achieved and as easily negated. 18 times is a lot, it seems, to fall behind by that many but the sample size is small enough that it's hard to draw any real conclusions.

Regarding the discussion of the line for the game: while Clemson being favored shows how close this game was being viewed and how tough an opponent they were for this UNC team, I also think it is a criticism of this UNC team.

Yes, we were missing Caleb. They were also missing a starter (granted, nowhere as good as Caleb). And Clemson was favored over UNC. That makes me sad.

Their replacement was averaging half a point less than the starter and won the game for them last night from the three point line where the guy he replaced shot about 25% from the three. Don't get too many tears in your beer over it for them.

Thanks for the stats. I really was not aware of them. That does add perspective.

It is still very sad for me that Clemson was legitimately favored over UNC.

Wow such a fickle but vocal bunch we so called fans are? You lose a friggin generational talent to injury and blame the coach that’s running the same program the same way yet it’s his fault? Like “call a timeout Roy” such small minded people for such a great program. I’m sorry but at some point race is why you think HD is lesser than. I’m ashamed for you guys but you do you.
such a bad take with the race card

it's possible to really pull for HD and also think he's not the right buy based on actual results to date. this post from Carolina Fever sums it up:

"It's been 5 seasons. The first one was mediocre until the run at the end thanks to Brady Manek and Caleb Love hitting shots he hadn't hit all season and didn't hit the next season. There's been two horrible seasons. One good season where they lost to a lower seed in the Sweet 16. This season is a mediocre season. Even before Caleb was hurt they still had the losses to SMU, Cal and Stanford. It's been inconsistent from season to season, and inconsistent play during the seasons. They have had so many games where they either came out flat and fell behind, or had big leads and then had a scoring drought and let the other team back in it. There have been too many times when it seemed there was no gameplan against specific opponents and no adjustments made during games. The offense has always been the same with no movement and screens off the ball, which leads to one on one play too often and a stagnant offense. There never seems to be any adjustments made on defense, just the usual man with switching everything, which leads to mismatches. I just don't see anything changing if they are not going to get elite talent like Caleb every season, and even with talent like his they still show inconsistent play as a team and mediocrity. I just don't think Hubert is the coach to make them a consistent contender most seasons to be one of the top teams."

I refuse to take anybody seriously who takes Carolina Fever seriously.

This post is so far out of line. Honestly, that kind of accusation is just fucking grotesque.

This was a game we should have won. With Welling, Clemson was not playing very well, at all, here of late, by the eye test, by wins and loses, and by the metrics. So fucking disappointing that once again we come out flat and not fully engaged until the game is (all but) out of reach, fight back, and ultimately fall short.

Jaydon Young 12 mins: 0-3, 0 pts, 0 rebs, 0 asts, 0 blks, 0 stls, 1 foul

Kyan Evans 6 mins: 0-1, 0 pts, 0 rebs, 0 asts, 0 blks, 0 stls, 1 foul, 1 turnover
Yes, but literally everybody on our side made plays that lost us the game. Now some did a lot more to win it than lose it but Veesaar had multiple turnovers, Trimble had that dumb foul at the end of the first half and the two of them cost us a shot at the end of the half. I thought even when we were really down that our main problem was we couldn't shoot. I wonder our much our numbers went up in the last 5 minutes. I was disappointed by the loss but if youshhoot like hell, you get bad results.
