Biorhythms for dook @UNC: 6:30 Start

Watching replay on ACCN. At 11 minutes left in second half, both teams only had one foul. And Boozer was moving on that no-call.

Seth just got fouled on a layup attempt no call our bench went nuts.

Caleb is the best UNC freshman I have seen play. As good as Hansbrough was as a freshman, Caleb is just something else.
He really is on another level. If the NBA drafts on potential I don’t see how you watch that game and then draft Boozer over Caleb. Boozer has no first step, is generally slow, and his strength will get nullified by NBA bigs. That said he was much bigger than I expected.

Under 8 minutes, dook 3 fouls, UNC 1.

Refs swallowed their whistles on both ends.

Dook got a dumb foul (4th of the half) in the backcourt that looked less like a legit steal attempt than a give away to get the tv timeout at 7:02.

Also, Caleb clearly got a block that he was not credited with in the box score (not the one he and Veesaar both seemed to block). Also, Boozer will only score 2 points after the 8 minute mark. Caleb was done scoring just after 12 minute mark.

Agree. But other than the no call on the potential block/charge call I can’t think of another point in the game where I thought we got away with that one.

Regarding the non call, maybe the refs were actually swallowing their whistle on calling a block on Boozer 🤔😉
Of course you didnt neither did I, but we are biased fans. I simply stated what would've been 100% true if the shoe were on the other foot.

I’m rewatching the second half, and I have to laugh at Duke fans whining if about the lack of foul calls against UNC. The refs totally swallowed their whistles for Boozer in that second half. He got away with a lot of things that would be called as fouls in most games.

Boozer fouled Caleb on shooting a short shot in lane - no call - our bench went nuts. Boozer scores last basket at 4 minute mark.

Watching again, seems like refs decided Boozer can put his shoulder down to create space but so can everyone else. Took us until the second half to get that.

I was limiting it to ones I recall and the comeback against dook in ‘74 is the very first basketball game I recall watching (I was 5, my brother was 13 months and my parents were trying to wait to change his diaper until after the game, which went terribly awry. My dad was mad UNC was losing and went to change an exploding nasty diaper, had to put my brother in the tub and my mom was yelling out the comeback details to my dad as it happened. I think all that made me focus for the first time in the details of a game so I could run back to tell him details during overtime while he got my brother toweled off and re-diapered. He didn’t get clothes on him otherwise until after the OT ended.)
A moment of creation, on several levels...

That's a nice way of looking at it. dook definitely did not get the benefit of the calls last night that they traditionally get in their games.
But one of worst calls went food way. The foul.on Trimble that saved them possession late in second half. They followed with a 3.
Does anyone have a link for the final play with the radio call? I've heard Jones Angell went crazy
It's in highlights package. I'll look.

ACCN is replaying it 15 more times after the live one on now 😀
