Biorhythms for dook @UNC: 6:30 Start

We defended well - for the most part - without fouling a lot….giving up only 68pts to a top 5 team who averages over 83 ppg.
We only gave up 27 pts for the entire second half.

We also valued the ball with only 7 turnovers for the game.

Seth and Caleb were the only two to go to the line and hit 11 out of 14. Almost 80% (Seth missed 3… he made up for it)

Could have blocked out better and gotten a few more rebounds, and certainly played a little tougher in the first half… but for the most part the Heels played very well, winning basketball.

Dixon ran the same play at the end of the first half that he did at the end of the game. Didn’t get a shot or pass off.

Got to thinking back about the “8 points in 17 seconds” win…

A couple of things…apparently there was a court-storming that night that had to be cleared.

And…

There were also some stormer injuries — this time apparently that actually happened.

I don’t think there was a court-storming after Sweet D’s jumper went in.

Cheerleaders? Sure. The Carolina bench? Sure. The students from behind the UNC and d00k benches and the scorers’ table? I don’t think so.

After the OT win? Quite possible.

The video I’ve looked at today shows no court-storming; but, the video cuts off 1-3 seconds after Sweet D’s shot is good.

And we held them to only 6 measly points for the last 81/2 minutes of the game. Only 6. For eight and a half minutes of crunch time action.

For as bad as it looked in the first half falling behind by 13, and then falling behind by 11 at the beginning of the second half… we absolutely kicked their ass from then on. Killed them.

We outscored them 42-27 in the 2nd half. That’s an arse-whooping folks.
 
While there was a lot of anxiety concerning our last 10 mins against Syracuse, understandably, I watched dook the next night miss 8 straight 3s against bc in first half and then score 25 points in second half at home. I suppose both teams were looking ahead.

Duke then scored 22 points in first 10 minutes against us but only 46 the final 30 mins.

Crazy game.
 
I was glad they stormed because it took me 2 hours 38 minutes from Trimble shot to my home 100 miles away. I stormed to car at craige and in 15 minutes was out of traffic on 15-501.
