Way back when……

In 1977 or 1976 or 1975, the GREAT Walter “Sweet D” Davis was in a shooting slump.

Coach Guthridge suggested that Walter stay after practice until he made 77 jumpers (or 75 or 76, depending on the year).

I suggest that each member of the team stay and make 26 FT’s above-and-beyond any FT shooting drill planned.

It's in their head. Does anyone seriously not think this is a topic? Hopefully percentages balance somewhat.
 
As others have already said, great win over a legit Top 20/25 opponent. 22-6 certainly ain't bad either given that our best player is still out and possibly our second-best or most important player has also missed several games recently. Hopefully we can build on this game moving forward (and yeah, definitely practice more on free throws).

It’s in some players’ heads. A Matt Doherty or Pat Sullivan in a critical moment at the FT line. In their heads.

Our best guard and 3rd best player was out for 6 weeks.
 
Very big win. Showed really good fight.

These guys need to be visualizing made FTs in their waking moments and their sleeping ones.
It’s a Zen thing.
Be the ball.
Visualization.
See the ball go through the net.
Just before releasing the shot, Visualize the ball going through the net.

Definitely a mental thing.
Like throwing strikes as a pitcher.
See the ball popping right in the middle of that catchers mitt… before you start your wind up.
