Biorhythms for UNC @Cal: 4 pm Start Time

This has been a pattern with Hubert's teams, too. He had a great run at the end of his first season, one good season, and the rest have been mediocre to bad.

So the coaches that were responsible for them having that record just all of a sudden forget how to coach and lose 3 out of 4 games?

This isn't all on the coaches. The players have to take some responsibility and be accountable. They have to hold their teammates accountable. Trimble’s defense is severely lacking
It's been like this the majority of seasons with Hubert's teams, though. It's not just the last four games. If it is the players then some reason they don't feel motivated to play hard for their coach then that's on the coach.

Unless the players don't want to play defense. Because they're lazy.
Pretty much every player on our team is a high-major D1 player. You don't get to this place in college basketball by being "lazy".

If we're not putting in sufficient effort, then that's a problem that should be addressed, but it's almost certainly not an issue of the players being lazy.

Lazy players are almost universally a reflection of coaching failures.
This is definitely not true. I don't know if it applies here, but Dean had lazy players. The issue is lack of alternatives. And if our senior leader can't bring it, then what?

It will be over soon, I guess. And then we will get another coach, who will probably be bad according to statistics.

Our 18 game conference schedule is like a golf course. Looking at the course before we teed off, the front 9 looked the side we should post a good score on. The holes were easier than the back 9. Well, we made par on the first and third holes but have double bogeyed the other 3 holes on the first 5. We are double bogeying these holes we should be making pars and birdies on. If we don’t make some adjustments in our swing WTF is going to happen when we get to the tougher back 9?

I really don't know what Jarin Stevenson does. Everyone says he's a glue guy and plays good defense, but his numbers are AWFUL. He can't shoot at all. He doesn't rebound much. Few steals or blocks. 1:1 A:TO ratio (doesn't get a lot of either). Seems like empty minutes.

I never liked that pickup. Of course, I did like the Evans pickup and that hasn't worked out.

Lazy is relative, and you can even get to the NBA being lazy. Anthony Bennett was lazy. Hasheem Thabeet. Lots of guys don't put in the effort expected of them.

He was playing very good defense for this team at one point. Hard to believe, I know

I absolutely hate this so much for Coach Davis. Hate it so much for him. He’s a wonderful man, he’s a wonderful ambassador and representative of this great university. But it’s over. He either needs to be told to announce that he’s stepping down at the end of the season or needs to be fired and an interim named so we can get a head start on the coaching search publicly. What must be done inevitably, should be done immediately. This is over.
Oh man. Even Rock gave this post the thumbs up.
