Biorhythms for UNC @Cal: 4 pm Start Time

Serious question: why can't Powell shoot FTs? Figured last year's horrid number was a small sample size fluke, but he's shooting exactly the same way this year. How can a shooting guard be sub 50% from the line. Make it make sense.

Definitely can't put THAT on HD but it' mystifying. It's a rounding error on the season but goddamn.

Lazy is relative, and you can even get to the NBA being lazy. Anthony Bennett was lazy. Hasheem Thabeet. Lots of guys don't put in the effort expected of them.
Individual players can certainly quit putting in sufficient effort, either in specific incidences or in general.

If the whole team is playing "lazy", that's almost certainly indicative of a different issue than players actually being lazy.

This is bad. Cal and Stanford are not good teams. It's not just that they will probably lose another game, but the way they have lost these last two are just ugly and there hasn't been any improvement on the perimeter defense the last four games. Also, the guards are not giving them much on offense. Wilson and Veesaar are the only constants on offense. There doesn't seem to be any adjustments being made or Hubert can't find the adjustments needed to make the team better. This is how it has been the majority of time under Hubert, too.

This is a team that didn’t give up more than 74 points in a game until January 3rd. The drop off defensively so fast is remarkable

The offense looking the way it has is not super shocking. A team that can’t make free throws, not great on perimeter, and no guards that can control a game is an uphill battle

Jay Wright is 64 years old and retired from the sport because he wants no part of all of the NIL/free agency BS.
64 is fine. Kyle whittingham just retired at age 66 and then took the Michigan job.

And I bet Jay would like the NIL budget at UNC a lot more than Nova.

And playing an offense that does nothing to get others easier, open shots and shots at the rim.

True. Yeah the age ain’t the issue as much as Wright hating what the sport has become. I’d love to have him be an option otherwise, though.

Dusty May and pay him absolutely anything it takes. He is a long shot but he also knows that Michigan will never be the basketball school UNC is.
