Biorhythms for UNC v Syracuse: Post Game Discussion

I'm usually with you, but I don't think it's the way these things go *sometimes*. It's how they go very rarely. We don't have to assign much significance to it, but a 27-6 run is not a sometimes thing.
I think sometimes is accurate. It does happen sometimes. Not often, but sometimes.

The Hubie haters are going to blow this as out of proportion as humanly possible. As if some sort of catastrophe has occurred.

Wire to wire win. The game was never in jeopardy.

Teams to let up with big leagues and Cuse caught fire for a decent stretch. Maybe they had the Heels minus the points. I could see that pissing you off. Some sort of coaching breakdown for 7 minutes or so? Nah.
Glad we are back to pissed after 10 pt wins.

Conversely the Hubie boot lickers are going to completely overlook the final 7-8 minutes, as well as yet another slow start, and talk down to those unsatisfied with this regime.

The problem with blowing leads like that is the advanced metrics have huge seeding implications and it doesn’t measure whether the game was never in doubt. Every possession counts and when you stink for 8 straight minutes that filters down to your numbers.
Right...UNC needs to keep stepping on the gas as much as possible.

The fact we beat Syracuse by 10 not 25 will not be a sticking point for the committee on selection Sunday. What will be discussed, by Hubert, is how we quit playing, lost composure, etc. The ending to this game could help us but certainly will not hurt us.

This is true. The metrics care.

The Heels not burying teams late didn't start with Hubert.

Fair or not the committee values the metrics and that is not a new thing. Collapses like this could very easily cost the team a top 4 seed.

This was actually one of the easier ones.
That may be, but it was not one that this program needed at this stage of fan discontent. We would have been much better served with a game that bounced from 8-12 lead the whole game. If it had gone down that way, the fans would be a little annoyed, but not angry.

I don't put to much stock into what the fans think about it.
