Coach Davis Wisdom = 65

Auburn Tigers
4 Johni Brooke P = 70, E = 40, I = 0, X = 35
44 Dylan Cardwell P = 80, E = 95, I = 40, X = 60
10 Chad Baker-Mazara P = 95, E = 30, I = 5, X = 50
12 Denver Jones P = 95, E = 30, I = 90, X = 90
13 Miles Kelly P = 45, E = 40, I = 60, X = 50
5 Chris Moore P = 85, E = 0, I = 65, X = 75
1 JP Pegues P = 25, E = 70, I = 15, X = 20
0 Tahaad Pettiford P = 0, E = 30, I = 0, X = 0

Bruce Pearl Wisdom = 40

Look-In: BIG. EXPERIENCED. SCORERS. Johni Broome stars (#4, 6-10, 20 ppg, 11rpg) but the supporting cast of #10 Baker-Mazara (6-7, 12 ppg), #12 Denver Jones (6-4, 11 ppg), #13 Miles Kelly (6-6, 11 ppg), #5 Chris Moore (6-6, 11ppg), and Freshman Flash off the bench Tahaad Pettiford (#0, 10 ppg 3 apg) are shadowed by defender Dylan Cardwell (#44, 6-11, 4 ppg) and a host of other once-stars that hit the portal. Sagacious and ruthless Bruce Pearl roams the sidelines. Lots of Physicality among the Tigers - P/Arcs are high for significant players. There are also some solid Intel marks mixed with some low ones.

Frontcourt: Washington, Lubin, and Brown on the rise. Withers has good athleticism.

Wings: Frosh could fly - Jackson/Powell. Tyson in the same conversation.

Guards: The Fire is with R.J. Davis. Cadeau is strong but needs clarity. Think. Trimble still Trimbling.

Overall: Both Squads had inspiring — and tiring — victories. Pearl played four off the bench for double figure minutes. Coach Davis did that with two. Cadeau, Trimble, and Davis all played 30+ hard harassed, jostled, and hammering minutes. Davis has the ‘Want To’ and Cadeau and Trimble are strong. Step-Ups look likeliest from Jackson and Powell. A long shot is Luben. Washington’s second half needs to continue tonight. Las Vegas has Auburn by 4.5. Biorhythms sum to AU by 8. IF the best case scenarios happen go Carolina by 3. Don’t forget coaching.

(Sorry the Ritmos are abbreviated...we're in Guatemala and schedules are...well...askew from the normal)

Dayton is pretty good better than most ACC teams this year.
For sure. Haven’t watched many other ACC teams this year, but I’ll be surprised if many ACC games are as exciting as that this year. Dayton looks legit, should be a tourney team at the least.

Looking at the +/- per player… it appears that Lubin (8 minutes) should have played more then Withers (20 minutes). Lubin was +6 when he was out there, Withers, conversely, was -8. I guess Coach thought JWit was a better fit, but the +/- numbers say otherwise. (Or am I reading the numbers wrong?)

Elliot had a subpar game that’s for sure. He was -8 on the plus/minus - what was his problem?

I think I will fast forward and miss the 1st half… seems as if the 2nd half of the game is the only thing worth watching.

+/- in sporadic mins and lineups is fairly meaningless . I too (having not watched the Hawaii game) was wondering why not more Lubin

The simplest answer I have is Withers is a better, more mobile defender. Lubin looked like he had stone feet out there on several occasions

Elliot was off to a good start last night but the offensive fouls seemed to get to him. I love the physicality and aggressiveness he’s bringing this year but he needs to button it up a bit

I too think Withers is more mobile - potentially - than Luben. But there is an unpredictability about the former that I think is a game-to-game coach’s call. Luben is smaller, albeit seemingly stronger, and more reliable than Withers. That’s where what a coach sees and knows come into play in any given game. I tend to figure Coach and his staff know the trends, habits, and tendencies better than fans do.

Going to be fun watching the game knowing the Heels made an epic comeback to win a high scoring game.

But how concerned should we be that it was against Dayton?
Auburn had to make a big comeback also, correct? I haven't watched Iowa State, but I guess from the ranking they should be better than Dayton.

Really worried about the matchup on the interior tonight. Certainly the Heels can’t afford to get down big again.

I happened to see Auburn play in person last season in an upset loss at App State. Broome is really good.

Ugly start. Too easy for Brooke and then a turnover on our end.

Jalen a better defensive effort but the attempted save on the rebound gave Auburn a freebie layup.

Ugggh. Brrome for three. 9-2 Tigers

RJ a way too deep three but we draw a foul on rebound

Broome got away with a foul on RJ’s three

Now a flagrant on Auburn — review — did Elliot create the contact ?
