Yea, maybe he can take advantage of the welfare state.Dang. That sucks.
I hope that treatment of the symptoms goes as well as possible for him and that he's able to retain a high standard of living for as long as possible.
Same.I'm just gonna hold my tongue on this one.
I'm guessing a linebacker or two might have had a hand in some of those decisions. How’s he a victim worth sympathy? He decided to sustain 1000s of concussions.
Kind of surprising but I totally believe it. It's a small town so they would know what kind of guy he is.I lived in southern MS for 5 years, not far from where Brett is from. You’d think he’d be a local legend, but he’s not really talked about much. The people I knew who either knew him, or crossed paths with him, said he was an asshole.
He could have stopped playing at any time. He chose to play football for 30 years of his life. Time to pay up for bad life decisions.I'm guessing a linebacker or two might have had a hand in some of those decisions.
Certainly one way of looking at it. Sounds pretty heartless to me. How do you feel about those coal miners with their black lung?He could have stopped playing at any time. He chose to play football for 30 years of his life. Time to pay up for bad life decisions.
Just how do you equate a multi-millionaire (or a guy who should be a multi-millionaire) with coal miners? Coal mining was the only “good” paying job for poorly educated, low-skilled in much of “coal country.”Certainly one way of looking at it. Sounds pretty heartless to me. How do you feel about those coal miners with their black lung?
