We’re so fucking gerrymandered AND the way the SENATE is structured, we’ll be lucky to win the House.

If we win the Senate, it’ll be close….CLOSE. We’ll lose it in 2028 or 2030.

Until the USA so fractures in a major crisis, the Constitution won’t change or if it changes it’ll not be an improvement.

At this point, Congress is basically irrelevant. It is good for TV hits, and that is about it. There has been so much transfer of power from Congress to the President that Congress has castrated itself.

When a Democratic President wins election (if that happens given the Electoral College), the US Senate will be Trumplican.

We’re basically fucked.

Nope. Congress has been disbanded. The next Democratic president can just pass laws by executive order. Congress is so last decade.

Nova Scotia was less than 500 votes away from being 100% Liberal representation. That single area of blue has about the same number of eligible voters as the population of the town of Chapel Hill despite being ten times the size of Orange County. (this map also shows PEI and part of New Brunswick. Nova Scotia starts at that pink bit and includes everything attached to it to the South as well as Cape Breton which is the vaguely heart shaped island in the East.)

TORONTO (AP) — The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation projects that Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre will lose his own seat in Parliament.

The loss of his seat representing an Ottawa district during Monday’s election would cap a stunning decline in fortunes for the firebrand Poilievre, who only a few months ago appeared to be a shoo-in to become Canada’s next prime minister and to shepherd the Conservatives back into power for the first time in a decade, before U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war with Canada and suggestions it should become the 51st state outraged voters and upended the election.

TORONTO (AP) — Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party won Canada’s federal election on Monday, capping a stunning turnaround in fortunes fueled by U.S. President Donald Trump’s annexation threats and trade war.

After polls closed, the Liberals were projected to win more of Parliament’s 343 seats than the Conservatives. It wasn’t immediately clear, though, if they would win an outright majority — at least 172 — or would need to rely on one of the smaller parties to pass legislation.

This is a great day for North America. A great day for Canada. It's also a great day for Greenland, Denmark, the EU, NATO, the U.N., etc.... all down the line for Democracies. With this vote the free world stands a chance of moving on both economically and in securing democratic freedoms from Russia and the Trump-led USA.
Watch now, as new alliances are formed, and old alliances renewed to battle trump's tariffs and battle Putin's Russia. And will add: this is a huge loss for trump himself. I dare say this may be a bellwether for mid-terms in 2026.

Trump’s vision dismisses the Canada-U.S. border as an "artificially drawn line" and claims unification was "meant to be," while falsely asserting that America has been "subsidizing Canada with Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year." This isn’t just an endorsement—it’s a blatant call for Canada to hand over its sovereignty, resources, and identity to the United States, confirming fears that Poilievre is a MAGA asset ready to sell out his country.

But Poilievre LOST! The Trump bump didn't work... it backfired. A huge loss for Trump, who has yet to speak about the loss.
