Looks like he is keeping the team in Portland. I was hoping there might be a chance for a NBA team in Raleigh.

Tom Dundon, owner of the NHL's Hurricanes, has agreed to buy the NBA's Trail Blazers for more than $4 billion and keep the team in Portland, sources told ESPN.

Pacific hurricanes are hurricanes in the western hemisphere and typhoons in the eastern hemisphere. So, unless he moves the Hurricanes to the Philippines, he could keep the name. Of course, hurricanes never make it all the way up to Portland, so he might need to change it to the Tsunamis, Volcanoes or the Earthquakes.
