But I'm surprised it isn't even worse. With all of the guns and nuts out there it's surprising we don't have attacks on prominent politicians and other political figures at least once a week. But yeah, it's already happening. It IS commonplace.
PA Governor's residence, MN House shooting, Trump attempts, murder of the two Israeli embassy workers, the firebombing attack against Israeli supporters in CO, Paul Pelosi attack, January 6th, that piece of shit at the George Floyd protest...
The attack on another woman you reference was an assault on a female charge and damage to property charge, both misdemeanors. The alleged victim was his sister. She opted not to pursue the charges and they were dismissed as a result. The case could not have been prosecuted without her cooperation.I understand and know everything you posted. You left out that police reports show he attacked another woman after his release on parole. And yes, schizophrenia isn't a sole reason for being locked up. However, another violent act after being released on parole for a violent act with a weapon, 14 times being arrested + mental illness is enough for someone not playing social justice warrior to do more than make him write a letter. Every sign is there. If this was a white guy who shot up a school and had this guys background this board would be losing its collective mind wondering how he was not somewhere away from society.
What was his message? No clue, and probably not. Just thought his message was worth sharing.
Excellent posts on this topic from you. Unfortunately it’s 2025, so we need you to whittle them down to a meme. The attack on another woman you reference was an assault on a female charge and damage to property charge, both misdemeanors. You clearly didn’t read my post or understand anything. The magistrate did what she was required to do by law when she set the conditions of release for the charge of misusing 911. And as I said, even if he remained in jail, he would have otherwise been released a long time ago due to the relatively short maximum sentence he faced. He wasn’t charged with a violent offense at that time. He also showed up to court when he was supposed to. Whether he “wrote a letter” (that’s not really what it was, but I’ll let you have that) or not didn’t make any difference there. The magistrate did not have the authority to have him involuntarily committed based on his schizophrenia or based on the charge he face or based on a combination of the two. All she could legally do was set conditions of release.
Also, as I said in my earlier post, he had not been arrested 14 times. I guess you skipped over that part too.
You obviously have no clue. Everything that was supposed to happen based on our laws is what happened. No one was soft. No one was acting as a social justice warrior. They did what the law requires. (And arguably the police overstepped in arresting him in the first place based on that “knowing” element of the offense, which was most likely lacking. Granted, I understand that they needed to put a stop to it because we can’t have someone tying up dispatchers who could otherwise be dealing with real issue.)
In your final strawman argument about how this board would lose its mind if it were a white guy with the same background who shot up a school, then they would be equally as wrong if they are making same assertions you are now. It doesn’t change the fact that you don’t know the facts or understand the law.
And also give me a break with assertions that one should predict that something like this killing would happen. There are many people out there suffering from schizophrenia who have run-ins with the law and they don’t end up killing or seriously injuring anyone. But again, there was nothing the magistrate could legally do about it even if she had such concerns.
That is true and unfortunate, and why so many people are ignorant of facts and context.Excellent posts on this topic from you. Unfortunately it’s 2025, so we need you to whittle them down to a meme.
I've seen some facebook posts tonight praising Kirk. To quote one post "When I think of Charlie Kirk, I think of the homeschooled kids I know who loved him and looked up to him. He was a hero to thousands of kids who are raised to love God and love their country. I hope they all know that he wasn’t just shot by a crazy person. He was assassinated for his bold stand on the sanctity of life, the biblical view of men and women, American history, the constitution, and salvation. He is a martyr."He was loved by 40% of the country.
There weren’t really any indicators of Luigi being a pro other than he knew where the guy would be and initially got away. He shot that CEO at point blank and ran. This shot is a completely different animal. That accuracy at that distance is a very well-trained shooter. A shot like that isn’t going to be pulled off by someone who just decided to kill someone and went to the range a couple times after buying the gun. Also had a very well put together plan to be able to get away in a crowd that large. Almost certainly has a military, law enforcement, or extensive hunting background.Yeah... I don't know about this being carried out by a trained hand. A lot of people thought Luigi was a professional hitman too. We'll see.
From Trump to Fox to ___, "radical left political violence" has already been pinned, the cat is out. It's completely irresponsible to discuss motive at this point.
The hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug.Sooooo ram has been baselessly accusing members of this board as wanting civil war when his favorite source of political news made this declaration![]()
