Don't trust WSJ to verify information before going public?I’m not saying I won’t believe it, but I’m gonna have to see pictorial evidence from a trustworthy source before I do.
Touché. I have to admit, that’s a pretty good retort.Don't trust WSJ to verify information before going public?
Why respond to him?you have tons of evidence on this thread that both sides are literally not the same. Why do you insist?
I’ve seen 142 yards or 426 feet.Typo.
It is owned by Rupert Murdoch. And Trump sure didn’t trust their reporting. That said, it wouldn’t be surprising if it was a trans activist considering he’s called trans people “an abomination to God”, blamed trans people for things as attenuated as inflation, and called for stripping them of all sorts of basic human rights.Don't trust WSJ to verify information before going public?
I grow weary of the hand-wringing on the left. Everyone who claims to be nauseated about Kirk's death -- are you serious? He's like a dead terrorist. He was at war with liberal democracy, so liberal democracy shouldn't give a fuck about his death. He was one of the people most responsible for GOP's embrace of hate politics. For him to be killed by hate politics -- if that's what happened -- just means he lived to see the fruit of his labors. It's true that political violence is terrible. But Kirk was an advocate for political violence. He was a net negative for society. He was a man of limited ability who managed to climb to preposterous heights simply by peddling hate, fear, and violence with little sophistication, giving it to his fans raw and unadulterated.
Stop saying, I hate it that he was killed. He was killed by his own hand. I don't care.
And was indeed blaming trans people for mass shootings as the trigger was pulled. Up until his last moment, nothing but hate.It is owned by Rupert Murdoch. And Trump sure didn’t trust their reporting. That said, it wouldn’t be surprising if it was a trans activist considering he’s called trans people “an abomination to God”, blamed trans people for things as attenuated as inflation, and called for stripping them of all sorts of basic human rights.
I'd put it in the callous and ill-timed categories more than uncouth. Uncouth would be the awful headline I saw on a satirical site (since taken down): Anti-vaxxer finally gets shot.Uncouth? Callous? Ill-timed? Sure. But dangerous? No.
There is nothing “dangerous” about saying that hate begets hate. It’s the exact point I made yesterday.
Fair enough.I'd put it in the callous and ill-timed categories more than uncouth. Uncouth would be the awful headline I saw on a satirical site (since taken down): Anti-vaxxer finally gets shot.
Threatened by people in the press conference or anonymous assholes in the general public?press conference on now:
the two people arrested and let go are now being threatened
Kirk had been the most successful, but trust that there are endless others who will bring the same message to their screens.Last night I asked my 12 year old son if he was familiar with Kirk, he knew who he was. This is a pre-teen who's life revolves around sports and video games, he (and his friends) had already been exposed to Kirk's poisonous rhetoric.
I won't condone violence but I also won't pretend I'm not happy that my son and his friends won't be exposed to this mans warped ideology.
I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't someone with a left wing ideology and I think most Democrats, if they're being honest, would also be shocked.I have no idea who the shooter is but are you really surprised if this turns out to be someone with left wing ideology? What are the other options? Someone who Kirk wronged on an individual basis? Right wing conspiracy led by Trump?
I’m as left as they come, but are we surprised by any of this. The right keeps pushing things closer and closer to the kingship of Donald Trump all while throwing their hands up saying they are doing nothing , while blaming the left for what they are doing. It’s ludicrous.
The problem is that too many people take seriously the assertion that we are on a slippery slope toward something like Nazi Germany and feel like they need to take action.Note I’m not condoning violence. But I’m horrified and curious at the same time. If we are indeed sliding down the slippery slope towards something like Nazi Germany when is the time for physicall opposition?
I think the simpler explanation is that it was on a college campus with probably 30,000 people at that time and university police rarely deal with anything more serious than felony or sexual assault and the parties are often known to each other. Lots of opportunities to blend in and get off campus. The shooter may or may not have been a “novice” but it was a planned, organized hit. He likely had assistance given his escape.
Actually, the problem is idiots like you who think we are not on such a slippery slope.I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't someone with a left wing ideology and I think most Democrats, if they're being honest, would also be shocked.

My guess it’s on the casing. Ammunition for long rifles is 2-3” long and has the top which is the bullet but there is a round brass base. Plenty of room to engrave a world or 2 though I have no idea what the words would be that would convey those sentiments. What does transgender and antifascist ideology engraving on a bullet look like? Seems like something out of a movie. Very strange.
