Christmas movies and specials

It's a Wonderful Life
Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
Elf
A Christmas Carol (George C Scott version)
Die Hard
Home Alone
Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas

Which ones do you watch every year?

Christmas Vacation
Elf
A Christmas Story
Home Alone
The Santa Clause
Polar Express
Rudolph
Frosty
Charlie Brown Christmas
The origina Grinch
All.

We tried to watch some others this year, there are some really really bad movies out there.

The movies I have to watch every year:
It’s A Wonderful Life (my favorite)
Miracle On 34th Street (the original)
A Christmas Story
A Christmas Carol (1984 George C. Scott version)
Elf

Spirited is a newer one that’s made it into the rotation.

My kids always have to watch Home Alone. I don’t feel the need to watch it, but I get bits and pieces. My kids also watch every single Home Alone sequel there is (they get really bad).

Krampus is a non-traditional one that I enjoy watching with my son.

I’ll watched Scrooged, which I think is decent until end, but don’t feel compelled to.

As for shows I watch every year:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph

I usually watch Frosty the Snowman but my kids didn’t have any interest in it this year.

I also like Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas.

Watched Christmas Vacation a few days ago.

Kids’ choice for last night was The Christmas Chronicles; third Christmas in a row, so it’s become a tradition.

Tonight is Die Hard.

Probably will watch Klaus on Netflix tomorrow.

We have our celebration on Christmas Eve The clan gathers at our house for afternoon games, an early dinner, and gift opening. After the crew departs me and the missus clean up the dishes and wrapping debris and then settle in to watch Die Hard.

Last night was no different than the last 25 years. It's all about tradition, baby:cool:

Christmas movies that I make sure to watch every year:

Charlie Brown Christmas
It’s a Wonderful Life on NBC on Christmas Eve
Polar Express
Christmas Vacation
Christmas Story

The latter 3 are on TV so often this time of year that I usually find myself watching bits and pieces of them multiple times.

My wife’s one request is always The Holiday, which I have to say has grown on me over the years.

me and the missus watched Holiday for the first time night before last and loved it !

It is now in our rotation with Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Family Man, and Die Hard

I always enjoy..
Elf
Christmas Vacation
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 31st Street (either version)
Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart)
Die Hard
Klaus (a new classic!)

I really don't like A Christmas Story. I think it is WAY overplayed. I also don't like Grinch, but I suppose that is because I didn't see it as a kid, and doesn't really bring back any nostalgic memories or feelings.

If you’re talking about either of the Grinch movies, one is terrible (the Jim Carrey live action one) and the other (the fairly recent animated version) is not good. The 1966 animated TV special is timeless, however, and perhaps the greatest Christmas special of all time.

A Chuck Jones animated classic.
