I usually go to several SEC games each season and it always makes Chapel Hill on a gameday look so pathetic in comparison lol.

We will obviously never have that type of atmosphere, but I do think there are realistic things that UNC could do to make the town/campus more fun on fall Saturdays.
Join the SEC!

I want periodic OU games in Chapel Hill.

There are 100 things we could do for sure. But I dont ever see us having the fan buy-in of those schools. And for the record, BIG stadiums and games at places like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin are every bit as fun and rowdy as SEC games but with fans that are 100x more football savvy and 1000x nicer to be around.

Maybe. But the problem with the Big10 is that the lesser programs are so much lesser. Vandy, Kentucky, Miss St and SCAR have atmospheres that are way, way better than UCLA, Rutgers, NW, Purdue, Maryland and Minnesota.

I largely don't disagree but you're incorrect on Purdue. Purdue is far superior on gameday to Vandy or Kentucky in almost any season. Of your list, I have not attended games at Miss St and Northwestern. The rest I have been to and concur with you.

I’ll defer to your greater knowledge on this one. In fairness, Purdue has been so bad for so long that I never see them on TV any more - so it is hard to judge what is going on in West Lafayette.

Times 100 . Lts of reasons I guess...Basketball spoiled... we have little real success
But I "think" now the State is now full of-like half full-of folks that came from elsewhere the last 20 years-and we have chance to start over with them with a little success

They’ll either be college fans (Michigan, O$U, Penn State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue, etc.) or pro fans.

They won’t become ACC football fans.

Maybe
But you go to games at Meechigan for 3 generations then move to NC Hey they still will need their Footbal Game fix

My wife is an SEC grad and we have a family member that played SEC football about a decade ago. Between those two I’ve been to over half of the stadiums in the conference as a visiting fan. Honestly I’ve had mostly positive experiences. Notable exception is Florida lol their fans are the worst. Wasn’t a big fan of LSU either. The game we went to was an 11am kickoff and I don’t think I’d want to be in that stadium for a night game as an opposing fan.

I’ve actually never been to a Big 10 game. Would love to go somewhere like Michigan or Wisconsin for a game in late fall.
