wow, reports are that he fought with wife, held a knife to his own throat and threatened to kill himself, then drove to the staffer and threatened to kill her. His wife provided police with his phone location and they apprehended at church. Hopefully, he's getting the help and support he needs. Sounds dire.
Damn, sounds like he lost it after getting fired.

your observation is about race only. nothing else offered. I say bad take.
It is a fact that the two Michigan football schools have fired their A-A coaches for cause in the last few years, something that is exceptionally rare in college football. That is an observation. I have not opined that race played a role in the decision to terminate either coach for cause. But, it is noteworthy. Hence, my note.

no, you claim "they" like to fire AAs. you suggest race has something to do with it.

hahahahahahahaha

I'd rather keep ND on the schedule next yr than play NC A&T or some other last minute cupcake. I wonder if we could work something out with other opponents as a trade, so instead of having to scramble for an ND replacement, we just choose one of ND's other opponents who is cancelling them. They have Wiscy, USC, Purdue and Mich State next yr.

No one is canceling ND. Please don't take this stuff literally.

I don't think this is meant as an immediate move. it's more of a response to ND's "leave the ACC and go back to full independence" public musing so that ND is "aware" that if they do so that they may struggle to put together a full season slate they'd be happy with.

I'm confident there's a lot of frustration/jealousy around the country that ND refuses to join a conference and yet is able to get a guarantee of a CFP spot as long as they are ranked at a certain level. And I think that there are a lot of schools who would love to see a day where ND is no longer able to pull off that balancing act and is either forced to join a conference or to be largely left outside looking in at the highest levels of CFB.

Also, putting on the thinnest of conspiracy theory tinfoil hats, I think this is likely a warning to ND that when the next phase of realignment happens in the next few years with the breakup of the current ACC, that ND shouldn't expect to get such a deal elsewhere within the P4. And that they especially should definitely expect to be forced to join up if the (inevitable?) SEC/B1G superconference breakaway from the rest of FBS occurs.

Michigan’s Underwood just announced he’ll be entering the portal. Already rumors that he’s in discussions with LSU for a 20M salary. This may be the reason we’re starting to hear that UNC will be ridin’ with Gio next season.

The governor of LA got oh so up in arms about the financial irresponsibility of giving Brian Kelly a big contract. LSU is then going to hire a coach to the largest contract all time and break the bank for an exceptional physical prospect who also completed 61% and had a 9/6 TD/int ratio.

Very unconfirmed but there are rumors that the ad knew about this for months and didn't tell anybody.

Still not completely sure what Moore was fired for. Was he fired for an affair with a staffer, or was the staffer a direct report, or was the staffer a student, or did he use University funds for something he shouldn't have, or something else? I wouldn't think a run of the mill affair would be enough to fire someone but maybe I'm wrong.

I believe she was the Executive Assistant to the Head Coach -- so very much a direct report.

According to Josh Pate - agents knew this job would likely be coming open for some time. Very odd that they waited until after signing day to conclude the investigation.
