You know, I feel a kinship with Michigan Football as a Carolina Football fan. Both programs seem to have whatever success they have in spite of themselves.Michigan fires Sherrone Moore for inappropriate relationship

Michigan has fired coach Sherrone Moore following an investigation that found "credible evidence" he was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
"This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday.
Biff Poggi was named interim coach.
Michigan went 9-3 this season and finished ranked 18th in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Overall, Moore went 18-8 as the team's coach after replacing Jim Harbaugh.
That guy has so much power, yet it is still stunning you had that thought about an agent. I had the same thought.Jimmy Sexton must have one of his clients already lined up for them
I was thinking the same thing but his contract is kind of tiny in the world of Big Time college football. Michigan was paying him a 500,000 base and a deal loaded with incentives worth about $3M-$5M if he won things like the conference championship or made the playoffs. This is kinda best case scenario for Michigan lol. Sherrone Moore was not a very good head coach and was probably gone in the next year or two anyway, now they get a clean break without having to pay a buyout.
??? They kept Juwan Howard around after he hit a guy. I have to think they had cause to fire him but they didn't cut ties with them until he had two bad seasons. So the Michigan schools like to fire their African American coaches for cause. Interesting.
Michigan State fired Mel Tucker for cause.??? They kept Juwan Howard around after he hit a guy. I have to think they had caused to fire him but they didn't cut ties with them until he had two bad seasons.
Yeah. You are right. I reread it. I thought you said Michigan but then I saw Michigan schools.Michigan State fired Mel Tucker for cause.
It is extremely rare to fire a P4 coach for cause. To have two coaches fired for cause in the same state by the main two schools, and for both of those coaches to be minorities, is at least a little eyebrow raising.Yeah. You are right. I reread it. I thought you said Michigan but then I saw Michigan schools.
It’s cold in Michigan a lot of the year, you gotta find your warmth & fun where you can.It is extremely rare to fire a P4 coach for cause. To have two coaches fired for cause in the same state by the main two schools, and for both of those coaches to be minorities, is at least a little eyebrow raising.
I can't imagine a racist motive that is somehow exclusive to football programs at large universities in Michigan just like I can't imagine a racial motive for hiring them in the first place. I can imagine a financial motive. But in Michigan State's case, I think it was a public relations motive. It is extremely rare to fire a P4 coach for cause.
