Dionne Warwick usually got the first shot at a Burt Bacharach - Hal David song. However, the producer' of the movie Alfie wanted a (white) British female singer - Celia Black, who was very capable. Oddly, Cher took a crack at Alfie in the US first. I have no comment on her performance.

Then, it was time for Celia and Cher to hold Dionne's cocktail. A song and performance for the Ages. Supposedly one of Miles Davis' favorites

For the old farts like me. Tori Holub sounds so much like Karen Carpenter.

Karen Carpenter's voice was angelic. This is an amazing cover. This song was originally a wedding-themed TV commercial for a local California bank.

I don't appreciate bluegrass or even know enough to know if these are great musicians, but I'm a U2 fan and thought this was an interesting take.
