Why the fuck are all the women athletes stuck in the back behind a line of old men?
A number of deeply, deeply misogynistic replies spring to mind, but how about, "They are all wearing strap-ons and the photo was snapped just before all those old men bent over."

Legal experts are laughing their ass off at this lawsuit. You think there is fire. You are just as legally incompetent as this justice department, or still mad that the SPLC outed your parents. troll harder.
I don't know if there's a federal legal case here, but that doesn't change that their actions were shady as shit.

If true, they were paying people to drum up racism, extremism, etc to turn around and collect donations to fight racism, extremism, etc. 🤷‍♂️

Or they were paying for membership and access to information from people who were already identified as openly racist and extremist to obtain more detailed information on what they and people they are connected to were up to.

That is not what they were doing, as the indictment itself makes clear.

Yes. He has led organization on the court, turned them around financially off the court and built a championship level one from the ground up.... all Wild managing and iconic brand that he created.

Lots of people gamble for fun and even study shows that gamblers(especially sports beers) that don't fall off the edge actually make for great business people given the stress/data/info etc... why do you hate Michael Jordan?
Guess I landed one on you. I was joking, relax Francis.

In another thread I acknowledged Michael’s remarkable philanthropy, especially as it regards UNC’s school of social work.

I don't think that is clear at all.

Some of these people were in the leadership of these organizations. So, these leaders are receiving money for information. Well, if you are a leader who is receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, you quite literally benefit from the existence and activity of the group you lead.

And, again, SPLC was featuring their paid for informants on their website. How does that even make sense? Maybe stop paying them and they will stop their activity?

Wait, you think the only reason the insider at the KKK is a member of the KKK is because the SPLC is paying him for information? Seriously?

I never said that, but they are clearly benefiting. The more active there is, the more perceived racism there is to fight, the more money SPLC can raise to pay them for the very activity they're generating.

Where are you getting hundreds of thousands per year? The two examples you provided were something like 140 thousand over 7 years and 70 thousand over three. That's to cover any expenses and co-conspirators, as well, I'd guess, whether witting or not.

I sure don't recall this issue in the 60s when sometimes the Klan meetings had multiple paid undercover federal and state agents and private informers.

I'll just say 100k or more per year.

One informant was paid more than $1 million between 2014 and 2023 while affiliated with the neo-Nazi National Alliance, the indictment said. Prosecutors say another informant was a member of the "online leadership chat group" that planned the 2017 white nationalist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The informant attended the rally at the direction of the SPLC, according to the indictment, and helped coordinate transportation for several others. That person was allegedly paid more than $270,000 between 2013 and 2015.

The SPLC— an organization that exists to research, keep tabs on, and provide information about extremist organizations (of all types; not just white supremacist ones)— actually pays informants to assist in gathering information about extremist organizations so it can effectively carry out its intended purposes? The horror. It truly shocks the conscience.
