According to the U.S. Department of Justice, defendants in that case alone fraudulently siphoned approximately $250 million, making it the largest pandemic relief fraud scheme charged in U.S. history . More than 90 individuals have been charged, and at least 60 have been convicted.
See this is the kind of thing that makes us laugh at you. Well, there are lots of reasons but look what you posted. The "largest pandemic relief fraud scheme in US history." I suppose that's one way to describe it. Another way is the largest pandemic relief fraud scheme in the last five years, since that is the only time we have had pandemic relief. Another way to describe it is as a modest fraud in size and scope, when compared to other types of fraud like crypto, Medicare, Medicaid, government contracting, etc.

Meanwhile, remember when I said that the WH was trying to start a war with Venezuela in order to justify invoking the Alien Enemies Act, and you scoffed at that as insanity, and now it's been reported that it's exactly what Stephen Miller was trying to do? Maybe you should moderate your opinions a little bit.

This should make everyone angry.
It doesn't make me angry because I understand math. You, apparently, do not (this has been confirmed many times over). You should direct your anger at the educators who allowed you to be a numerically illiterate moron, not a few immigrants.

Why not revoke the citizenship of everyone convicted of a felony and deport them?
There are ways already, kinda.

Yes, U.S. citizenship, especially for naturalized citizens, can be revoked (denaturalization) if obtained illegally or through fraud, like concealing major crimes or misrepresenting facts during the process; it can also be lost voluntarily through actions like serving a foreign military or running for foreign office, but it's a difficult, court-ordered process with high legal standards for the government to meet, requiring proof beyond reasonable doubt or clear, convincing evidence.

Grounds for Revocation (Denaturalization)
  • Illegally Procured: Citizenship was not legally obtained, meaning requirements weren't met.
  • Concealment/Misrepresentation: Willfully hiding or lying about material facts (like criminal history) on the naturalization application.
  • Criminal Conviction: Procuring citizenship through fraud (e.g., 18 U.S.C. § 1425).
  • Wartime Service: Citizens naturalized via wartime service can lose citizenship if dishonorably discharged within 5 years.

How It Works
  • Federal Court: A judge must issue an order; USCIS or the Department of Justice starts the case.
  • High Standard of Proof: The government must prove its case with "clear, convincing, and unequivocal evidence" in civil cases, or "beyond a reasonable doubt" in criminal ones, notes the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
  • Result: If revoked, the person returns to their prior immigration status (e.g., green card holder) and may face deportation, explains the National Immigration Forum and Bipartisan Policy Center.
It's all that high standard of proof that sucks for you all. Next time we rewrite the Constitution, speak up for your anti American ideas.

Innumerate>numerically illiterate.;)

FYI...I wasn't the author of the article.

I said we should all be angry when we invite people into the country to give them an opportunity to improve their lives and the fuck us.

What is the math in the comment that I'm missing?

What should make everyone angry?
(Copy/Paste)
We invite people here to make better lives for themselves and they turn around a fuck us.
Fraud or Somalian (immigrant) fraud?

Fraud makes me angry at any level, but I don’t believe we should deport all the white people because of Bernie Madoff’s misdeeds.
(Copy/Paste....since the answer to every question you asked is answered in what I wrote)

I tend to agree.

This should make everyone angry. We invite people here to make better lives for themselves and they turn around a fuck us. They should all be deported and citizenship, if it was granted, revoked.
Deport all Somalis, or just the ones who committed crimes? I don’t think anyone has an issue with holding the fraudsters accountable, but Trump and crew are going to use this as a way to punish all Somalis.

So Somalian fraud.

And when you say, “they,” you obviously mean all of them.

Yes, and where Zen loses the plot is when he accedes to that. That's the point about math. If you're trying to make sound policy, rates are the only way to do it. Individual instances are for morons.

There is also no reason to be angrier at a Somali who commits fraud than an Anglo who does. That's just pure racism. I mean, literally the definition. I suppose if someone is consistent (they never are) and also get angry at white foreigners, then you can "downgrade" to pure xenophobia.

He answered that in a subsequent post. He was very clear that the baby gets thrown out with the bath water. He wants to deport all Somalis.

I mean just what I said....

We should angry at anyone...anyone...who we invite into the country, and give an opportunity to improve their lives, and they fuck us.
So you’re all about the identity politics angle.

I think we should be angry at anyone…anyone…who lives in our country and defrauds people. I don’t think we should suss out their origin to make ourselves angrier. That’s what Trumpistas do, and the end result is the Stephen Miller philosophy.

I'm a lot angrier at the ones we elect who do the same thing. Your boys steal a lot more as well.

Identity = those we invite in who turn out to be criminals.
I think we should be angry at anyone…anyone…who lives in our country and defrauds people.
ESPECIALLY those who we invite in and give a huge opportunity to....

He said for the 5th time.

I think someone from certain countries, like Somalia, are likely getting a bigger opportunity than someone from Germany...especially women from certain countries like Somalia.
That’s what Trumpistas do, and the end result is the Stephen Miller philosophy.
No clue what that means.

What difference does it make where someone is from or what "opportunity" they get if they are criminal?
