Another gold card member of the FAFO Club. Just a few years ago there were articles about what a bright political future she had, and she was portrayed as intelligent, articulate, and one of the party's brightest female up-and-coming stars. And then she sold her soul to MAGA and Trumpism and now she's completely out of politics. Too damn bad. And on a side note, it's really interesting at the number of female GOP politicians who have had their political careers ruined or limited after signing on with the MAGA movement. It's almost as if Trump and his movement are misogynistic and sexist or something.

This seems doubtful to me. With the absolutely enormous amount--in terms of volume and disgusting subject matter--of Kompromat that Vlad "the Ras" Putin has on St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago, why would he need a more . . . pliable . . . intermediary.
What's the use in owning Trump if you can't play with him once in a while? Who knows? Maybe just a gentle jerk on his choke collar.

The Caesar Act was imposed in 2019 in response to widespread and systematic violations of human rights by the regime of former dictator Bashar al-Assad.
“… The repeal of the measure, known as the Caesar Act, follows the earlier removal of other U.S. sanctions. It bolsters the new government’s efforts to attract foreign investment, rebuild a nation in ruins and revive an economy long crippled by corruption and cronyism. But the path to recovery remains long and uncertain, as the government must address rampant inflation, widespread unemployment and the destruction of infrastructure — all exacerbated by years of conflict and international isolation.
… The removal of those sanctions is a victory for President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former Al Qaeda leader who broke with the group years ago and whose forces toppled the Assad regime last December.
In recent months, the Trump administration has thrown its support behind Mr. al-Sharaa and his government. In June, Mr. Trump signed an executive order lifting most of Syria’s economic sanctions. Mr. al-Sharaa met with Mr. Trump at the White House in November.
