They're just stealing taxpayers blind and doing it very openly, and not a single MAGA cares as long as she's owning the libs and punishing immigrants for existing and her party is keeping boys from playing girl's sports and using girl's restrooms, even though there's not been a single story about a transgender person molesting any girls or women in restrooms, while there have been endless stories about MAGA preachers, youth ministers, politicians, etc. sexually abusing underage girls. Seeing these stories is a regular event now.

And part of the reason MAGAs don't care as well is because the right-wing networks they watch aren't covering this shit - instead they're voicing outrage at something some Democrat said about Republicans somewhere.

Basically, the thrust of this questioning is not only that Colby is a liar but more importantly that the Department of Defense is acting in parallel but independently of Trump.

I’ve always respected Turner as a serious legislator and with a limited tolerance of partisan shenanigans, but damn. That might be the most gloves off I’m sick of your bullshit intra-party rebuke I’ve seen from a member of congress.

Isn't this just because Trump is considered the final arbiter of truth for these people?

It reminds so much of the Cultural Revolution. They couldn't say to their opponents, "you're wrong because X, Y, and Z." Those reasons didn't matter; only Mao did. So you had gangs all accusing each other of less than maximum loyalty to Mao. That was the only currency for evaluation.

Same here. Turner can't say, "this is stupid for these reasons," because in MAGA land the only thing that matters is Trump. So people attack their opponents as being insufficiently loyal to the Chairman.

Turner comes off looking worse than Colby, in my view.

Of course the DoD is "interpreting" Trump's dictates. He's not a military strategist. Turner should know that. In every other context before 2025, it would be completely acceptable for a person in the administration to talk about "administration policy." Only now it's a cult.

And of course, the complaints about disingenuity and unecessary explanations are risible coming from these assclowns. The questions being asked are disingenuine.
