Eh. I should probably care more about this but I don't. The Rose Garden has become a de facto public/press meeting space. No need to have elaborate plantings. A functional hardscape is much more useful.

Now, Pubs can fuck right off when complaining about other federal expenditures while green lighting all manner of renovations to the White House. But standing on its own, the reconfiguration of the RG is probably a good thing.
 
May need to start a seprate thread about Trump's health problems now that they're being acknowledged and discussed by the Press Secretary.

Trump is paying for these renovations. I don’t have an issue with tasteful stone pavings vs grass in the Rose Garden. It’s more practical for holding events and press conferences.
