“… In response to questions about online criticism that calls the posts racist, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson asked a Times reporter in an email to “explain how deporting illegal aliens is racist.

She also said in a statement: “We won’t stop celebrating the Trump Administration’s many wins via banger memes on social media. Stay mad.” …”

People can’t blame the families in my neck of the woods, we’ve got babies and toddlers everywhere.

People can’t blame the families in my neck of the woods, we’ve got babies and toddlers everywhere.

Who wouldn't want to bring a child into this world with Dear Leader and his party in charge of things? I know the birthrate has been declining for a good while for many reasons, but I can't imagine that many people looking around at America today feel good about the nation's future. I mean, just look at all of these wonderful memes just put out by our government! We now have government by trolling, the gutting of science and medicine and the social safety net, ever-increasing attacks on public ed, and an economy that is less and less friendly to middle-class people, much less those lower on the economic ladder, and with the exploding growth of AI many white-collar jobs will likely be in jeopardy pretty soon. Add in right-wing efforts to take away women's rights and the growing signs that we're moving towards an authoritarian state and that's not going to encourage most people to have kids.

But hey, the GOP is giving couples a little money off their taxes for every kid they have, so that'll surely do the trick!

So after 8 absences, court referral happens... No matter the reason

So kids who get the flu or covid and then maybe have a cold later in the winter will easily rack that up

Lots of court fun coming for that county
I thought this was going to be a "the school system admin are tired of having to parse through various excuse notes" change.

Nope, they just straight up say they think kids should learn to go to school sick because they expect adults to go to work sick. I'm always amazed at school boards who show any distinct lack of evidence that they were intelligent enough to graduate HS themselves.

Of course, once it gets to the court system, the traditional inequalities will show themselves and the families with means will be fine and the families from marginalized communities will be further marginalized.
