After all, Prescott Bush traded with the Nazis until after we entered the war and the Rockefeller Foundation helped start the Nazi eugenics program and funded the program where Mengele got his start. Fwiw, much of that was based on so called research funded by the Carnegie Foundation at the start of the 20th Century. Add that Lindberg was a shared hero and that the Bund was a political force in industry, especially in the Midwest and he's not revising how a lot of people felt then.
