Hey @Calheel , remember when you said that Lisa Cook would have the strongest case of selective prosecution you've seen?

Now do Tish James, lol. When they fire the prosecutor because he won't invent evidence, it doesn't speak well to the future of the prosecution, one would hope.
I have a feeling Trump is going to get a lot of selective prosecution arguments against him. Of course, the underlying cases are often so weak that it would just be gilding the lily. Kinda like John Durham going 0-fer in his weak ass prosecutions.

He probably didn’t eat the zucchini wrapped around the chicken, but he probably unwrapped it, asked for ketchup, and ate the chicken once they brought him the ketchup to dip it in.
The ketchup in England isn’t the same as ketchup here. It’s more vinegary. Hope whatever he ate gave him a severe case of stomach cramps and screaming shits.

I know. It's just hilarious.

Can you move to shut down an investigation based on selective prosecution? Like, if Trump fires the US attorney for not bringing charges, and the new us attorney comes in and continues to "investigate," at what point can Tish ask the court to stop the whole farce? I don't know the answer to that. It might not be a well established answer because this hasn't really been a thing any time recently.

I’d assume investigations are solely an Article II function that the courts wouldn’t enjoin - especially not these days.

I suppose the next democratic Congress could investigate the investigators. But I doubt that would go anywhere.

But surely there has to be a line that could be crossed. For instance, let's say they keep investigating after the limitations period has expired. The harassment continues and at that point it just becomes harassment for its own sake.

Surely there has to be a line that could be crossed was a better argument pre Trump v. United States, admittedly, but still.

Is Article II the right place to look? What about the amendments. Not sure which one exactly . . . maybe a penumbra of the Fourth?

I kind of hope she is. Not that Mace has ever been a paragon of civility, but it's sad to think someone would become as morally repugnant as she is as a matter of entirely free will. If it's a substance issue, she can get help. If this version of her is a choice, that's just really sad.

I don't know...25 years tending bar taught me that "En Vino Veritas" was a pretty reliable adage.

These MFers continue to push the narrative that the pending shutdown is on the Left. Nope. Pubs have a majority, dip shit.

Either that or she's just shown everyone her true self. I suppose it could be both. Her comments about Omar are among the most racist statements I've seen from a federal law maker in a very long time.
Mace should be censured for this alone. Immediately. We as a nation cannot stand for this racist garbage as if it's just politics as usual.

I kinda like having Carrboro Family Pharmacy track the meds my parents and brother take (I’m lucky - haven’t been prescribed anything to date).

My Mom only takes one prescription. Dad takes 8-10. Carrboro Family Pharmacy makes sure the drug cocktail doesn’t cause a problem. My brother is on 4-6.

Pharmacies aren’t just there to count pills. They should be making sure the meds you take aren’t causing you problems.
