I say this as a person who still considers himself a Christian -- disregard anyone who uses the term "God's will." It's only used to rationalize terrible things that happen to undeserving people. It's a lizard brain response to the universal question of "why." Even the writers of Job understood 4000 years ago there's rarely a theological answer to that question. That people would still use such an explanation now, with all we now know, is an indicator of tremendous credulity.
