This is HORRIBLE news. I'll always remember his line as Chief John Redcorn after Peggy figured out that Redcorn and Dale's wife were having an affair.

Peggy: Jooohn Reeed-corn.

Redcorn: Peh-egg-y Hill.

I've been hoping for a revival of King of the Hill for over a decade now. It's becoming increasingly difficult to see a path forward after the loss of yet another great vocal actor talent.

There is a revival in the works. Toby Huss who did Kahn and Cotton is taking over Dale's part.

Meanwhile the GQPers in the Senate are sneaking in a takedown of the ACA and hoping the public doesn't notice ...

Why are they so hellbent on removing healthcare for people than helping provide it?

New season starts August 4th. I have no doubt that he will be honored in some way in the series.

Dale's part will be a tall order.

Favorite Dale line: (uttered while calling from next door and attempting to disguise his voice), "I know where you live."

The CA HS sports governing body made a special rule that allowed a transgender athlete to compete but if the transgender athlete placed, the competitor just behind her shares that place. So when the transgender athlete placed second in an event, the otherwise third place finisher was also deemed in second place and the fourth place finisher moved up to third. When the transgender there finished first in two events, the second place finisher also finished first and everyone else moved up a spot.

This is track and field, not a contact sport. And any alleged concern about girls somehow losing out was resolved — the placement of the transgender athlete didn’t take anything from the other competitors.

But Trump (who has zero authority over this event and its rules) is threatening huge fines (because I am sure girl’s HS track is for profit and swimming in cash) because the transgender student was allowed to participate under hastily changed rules implemented shortly before the meet that didn’t cost any other competitor a place on the podium due to the transgender athlete’s results.

I would be interested in evidence of this historic stockpiling, given that industry is not on a war footing.

He should talk to his negotiators, who have indicated otherwise. Also, maybe he shouldn’t have pulled out of the JPOA in his first term only to try to recreate it years later …

Seems that allowing the governing body of each league makes for the best solution so far.

The governing coalition in the Netherlands collapsed on Tuesday after the populist leader Geert Wilders withdrew his party over a dispute about migration policy, ending a rocky 11-month rule by the country’s first far-right government and triggering early elections.

The move by Mr. Wilders shows how the debate over unauthorized migration continues to roil European politics, a decade after a large-scale influx of people fleeing wars or seeking better economic opportunities unsettled the region.

The coalition’s collapse was confirmed by Prime Minister Dick Schoof, who said he would present his resignation to King Willem-Alexander. He said he would stay on as the leader of a caretaker administration, without Mr. Wilders’s party, until elections and the formation of a new government.

“I think it’s unnecessary and irresponsible,” Mr. Schoof said of Mr. Wilders’s decision.

Trump Seeks Congress’s Approval for Package of DOGE Cuts

White House’s $9.4 billion rescissions package includes reductions to NPR, PBS and foreign aid

“… The White House sent Congress a $9.4 billion rescissions package Tuesday that would codify some spending cuts made by the Trump administration, effectively asking lawmakers to reverse spending they previously voted into law. The White House also is weighing the use of a separate, controversial process called impoundment to claw back funds, sidestepping the legislative branch and setting up a likely legal battle.

The rescissions package, which includes $8.3 billion in cuts to foreign aid and $1.1 billion to public media, can pass the House and Senate with a simple majority. Republicans control both chambers of Congress, but it isn’t clear what sort of rescissions could be approved, and the administration is expected to propose more cuts if Tuesday’s package is successful.

The launching of the rescissions package is intended to underline GOP leaders’ dedication to cost-cutting amid criticism from some Republican fiscal hawks that the tax and spending bill doesn’t sufficiently reduce spending.…”
