It's amazing all the years that conservatives preached about legislating from the bench and activist judges, all the while they had a plan and actively worked on aligning judges to support their agenda, including the SCOTUS.

Now they are winning that a judge upholding the law is an activist judge, when they really mean that judge is a roadblock for their agenda.
I would change your last phrase to “when they really mean the law is a roadblock for their agenda.”

Is your grocery store giving you free eggs when you buy something? Mine is not and I am starting to wonder how we missed the 400% reduction in egg prices around here — stores are still charging us for eggs somehow.

That is one weathered 22 year old.
That photo (along with him being hired for such a sensitive post) is just unbelievable. It seriously looks like an Onion article photograph, along with the headline "Lawn Maintenance Boy Hired to Run Elite Antiterrorist Group". I know it's been said before, but I'd truly hate to be a writer for The Onion these days. How in the world you can top stories (and photos) like that is beyond me. We are truly living in the weirdest timeline.

ICE officers stuck in Djibouti shipping container with deported migrants

Trump officials transferred the migrants to the East African nation in response to a judge’s order. They now face threats that include rocket attacks from Yemen.

“… Trump officials could have flown the immigrants back to the United States. Instead, they were taken to Djibouti, where in late May officers turned a Conex container into a makeshift detention facility on U.S. Naval Base Camp Lemonnier, according to Mellissa Harper, a top ICE official, who detailed the conditions Thursday in a required status update to the judge.

Three officers and eight detainees arrived at the only U.S. military base in Africa unprepared for what awaited them. Defense officials warned them of “imminent danger of rocket attacks from terrorist groups in Yemen,” but the ICE officers did not pack body armor or other gear to protect themselves.

Temperatures soar past 100 degrees during the day. At night, she wrote, a “smog cloud” forms in the windless sky, filled with rancid smoke from nearby burning pits where residents incinerate trash and human waste.…”
