🎁 Coast Guard Says Swastika and Noose Displays Are No Longer Hate Incidents

"In the past, the display of such symbols were unambiguously cited in policy as “incidents of hatred and prejudice” that “have no place in the Coast Guard.”

But no longer folks!
I just don't understand this administration's obsession with sanitizing pure evil just to get a rise out of the Left. And for what? I wish these magats would just go jerk off or something. It'll give them the same satisfied feeling without wiping :poop: on the fabric of our nation.

U.S. Banks Shelve $20 Billion Bailout Plan for Argentina

Bankers are instead discussing a smaller, short-term facility to help Argentina make a roughly $4 billion debt payment in January

“…
Outside of the banks’ planned support for Argentina, the Treasury Department has already gone to great lengths to support Milei’s administration.

It isn’t clear how much of the Treasury’s $20 billion swap has been used by Buenos Aires, but data from Argentina’s central bank showed a $2.5 billion increase in short-term foreign currency swaps between the end of September and the end of October. Argentina’s central bank declined to comment.

The U.S. also sent approximately $900 million to Argentina through a transfer of “special drawing rights,” a type of reserve asset held by world governments at the International Monetary Fund, according to people familiar with the matter and IMF data.

… In an X post on Oct. 29, Bessent said that the “Argentine economic bridge has now turned a profit for the American people.”

Former Treasury officials have publicly criticized the lack of transparency around the U.S. financial support for Argentina, saying it is a break from past practice when it supported countries like Mexico in the 1990s.

“There is essentially no information on how that money is being used,” said Brad Setser, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and an assistant Treasury secretary during the Obama administration. “I think that is unusual given that this is a use of taxpayer money.”…”

The FBI spied on a Signal group chat of immigration activists, records reveal

Exclusive: Agency accessed private conversations of New York ‘courtwatch’ group that was observing public hearings

“… The FBI, the documents show, gained access to conversations in a “courtwatch” Signal group that helps coordinate volunteer activists who monitor public proceedings at three New York federal immigration courts. The US government has repeatedly been accused of violating immigrants’ due process rights at those courts.…”

Whatever you may think of this, it is worth considering how many key government officials currently seem to use Signal for official business. If the FBI can get authorization to spy on a signal chat, what about malign actors who care nothing about legal process?

“… The FBI’s report from August, prepared by its New York division, does not make clear how the bureau accessed the Signal group.

The Signal platform, widely used by activists, is known for its end-to-end encryption; typically, the only way law enforcement can access messages is if they are directly included in the chat, are sent copies from a participant or have access to a member’s unlocked phone.

The FBI said the information came from a “sensitive source with excellent access” and introduced the report as a warning about “extremist actors targeting law enforcement officers and federal facilities”.…”

Maybe if air travel weren't a traumatizing blend being herded like around cattle and interminably long gross violations of your personal space, then maybe folks wouldn't feel like dressing up for it?
Maybe everyone should dress up in White Face also?

Perhaps if the airlines made the travel experience more accommodating and comfortable on their end, economy passengers wouldn't have to try so hard to survive on board, especially on long-haul flights. (Movie theaters figured this out years ago.) If you're not among the spoiled 1%ers in first class, the current air travel experience is a terrible product for consumers.

Just for the record, way, way back when I was in school, I too was indoctrinated with Arabic numerals. But, and this is an important distinction, in the afternoon when we had "nap" time and had to lay our heads on our desks, the teacher did NOT require us to rotate our desks so that we were facing Mecca.

Watching the video it seems like maybe letting her leave and following her to arrest her might have been an option. I don’t know why she would t get out of the car or why she tried to ease the car away but shooting her is obviously extreme.

More in the Ukraine thread but it certainly looks like Trump is betraying Ukraine and forcing them to take his plan or face the rest of the war without US support.

I really don't know why people ever try this kind of shit. So many people before have tried and failed.

On the bright side, I suppose all she has to do is start praising Trump and she's as good as free
