Apparently Rep. Van Orden’s knowledge of WWII history is limited to a screening of Inglorious Basterds.I would estimate that during the entirety of WWII, zero Americans went into rooms and beat someone to death with their hands. Guess we lost.
You can't rule out a bar fight. However, that would have probably been somebody on our side.Apparently Rep. Van Orden’s knowledge of WWII history is limited to a screening of Inglorious Basterds.
KabukiSoooo, a coup?
Coupbuki?Kabuki
Whatever. I don't like how things are going but so far the sound is worse than the fury. The other expression is inappropriate because there's a rationale to a dog barking.Coupbuki?
The businesses weren't looted UNTIL the National Guard was called in. This was just a little ICE raid protest, which morphed into a union-backed protest of the holding of a union leader outside the federal building.I bet many Los Angelinos.... Los Angelites... Los Angeleses.... wouldn't mind being liberated from rioting, arson, destruction and crime in general. Certainly the businesses that weren't part of the 27 that were looted are probably happy to see a large law enforcement presence on the streets.
Or, as I like to say, piss to a shit fight. There speaks a man that would take a knife to a gun fight.
Liberation from elected leaders rhetoric sounds uncomfortably like civil war — but I am reading a fiction novel about a second American civil war, so that isn’t helping my perception of events.Soooo, a coup?
Ok. People make their choices. The businesses weren't looted UNTIL the National Guard was called in. This was just a little ICE raid protest, which morphed into a union-backed protest of the holding of a union leader outside the federal building.
It wasn't until Trump said he was calling in the National Guard that the protesters started looting and occupying the 101 Freeway.
Bootlicking for an authoritarian regime deploying the US military against US citizens against the wishes of the local elected government is certainly a choice.Ok. People make their choices.
The South Carolina Republican Party is in the news today. Tough one for their Freedom Caucus.
