Granted, there very well may have been another victim; perhaps somebody sitting at whatever light rail stop he entered the train from. But I do think it’s most likely that virtually any crime committed on the light rail is committed by someone who boarded the train without paying the fare.

As a former daily rider of Charlotte's Light Rail "Lynx" system, everything stated in the above post is TRUE. I rode the light rail system to work for years. The number of times my ticket was checked I can count on two hands. The number of times I saw people without tickets ride the light rail, ON A DAILY BASIS, I could not count on two hamds. This was not an aberration, it was an eventuality. We need cooling stations and places to sleep for homeless people. The light rail system is NOT that place.

Who would actually pay money to see Megyn Kelly live?

I get emails from ticketmaster for upcoming events and I received one today that Megyn Kelly is on tour. Maybe I should make some signs and protest when she's in town?

Video of the attack shows Zarutska entering a train car and taking a seat directly in front of the suspect, court documents state.

Just checked a minute ago and the New York Times still does not appear to have an article on this story.

I wonder how many articles they had regarding Daniel Penny.

What has he done that's good?

Even in areas where we might agree, his methodologies are horrible and he's simply a bad person.

I'm trying to recall, but I do believe there were a couple of things he did that many on the left agreed with.

But beyond politics, trump is just a piece of shit. Even if he were the worlds best leader, actually stopped wars, actually fixed the economy, etc. he would still be a piece of shit. There's simply no changing that he's a piece of shit.

List a few redeeming qualities he possesses?

Yeah, historically they haven’t covered murders in Charlotte all that often.

The Daniel Penny story happened in New York, so …
 
Doesn’t fit their narrative = crickets. Floyd happened in Minneapolis.

If only a Daniel Penny had been on that car.

I lived in NY in the 1990s and was surprised when I visited NC to learn a serial killer had been arrested in Charlotte in 1994 (or maybe ‘95?) because it got no noticeable coverage in The NY Times or even the NY tabloids (at least on the main pages (front and Page Six) I would see people holding in the subway).

I do think it is an editorial choice now not to at least cover the politicization of this case …
