“… The Supreme Court of Texas is entirely Republican, and Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock, appointed in January, was formerly Abbott’s general counsel. When he appointed Blacklock to the bench in 2018, Abbott saidhe “wanted to make sure that the person I appointed was going to make decisions that I know how they are going to decide.” Blacklock has said that was more a reflection of their shared judicial philosophy.

In 2021, Blacklock authored an opinion for the court that said the Texas Constitution enables the possibility of a so-called “quorum break,” although it also allows for consequences to bring members back….”

Trump reignites threat to take over DC after former DOGE worker assaulted in attempted carjacking​



“… “I have to say that somebody from DOGE was very badly hurt … A young man who was beat up by a bunch of thugs in DC, and either they’re gonna straighten their act out in the terms of government and in terms of protection or we’re gonna have to federalize and run it the way it’s supposed to be run,” Trump told reporters Tuesday.

Edward Coristine, the 19-year-old former DOGE worker once known by the online moniker “Big Balls,” and another individual were assaulted in an attempted carjacking on Sunday, according to a DC Police Department incident report obtained by CNN affiliate WUSA.

Police saw a group of around 10 juveniles surround Coristine’s vehicle and assault him, the incident report said. When police exited their vehicle, the juveniles ran away.

Two 15-year-olds “were arrested and charged with Unarmed Carjacking,” according to DC police.…”

GOP Rep. Mills accused of threatening to release nude videos of ex-girlfriend​

Lindsey Langston, winner of the 2024 Miss United States contest, filed a police report in Florida. Mills denied wrongdoing.


“… Langston told the sheriff’s department that she was in a relationship with Mills from November 2021 until February, when she said she ended it after seeing media reports that police in Washington were called to investigate an alleged assault by the representative against a woman.

Both Mills and the woman denied that any assault took place, and Mills was not charged in the incident.

Langston said that Mills told her he was separated from his wife at the time they started their relationship. The representative is still married.

She told police that after she broke up with him, Mills contacted her multiple times threatening to release nude images and videos of them having sex, according to the report, which said she provided law enforcement with messages that allegedly backed up her claims.

Anthony Sabatini, Langston’s attorney and a Lake County, Florida commissioner who challenged Mills for Congress in 2022, said Langston also filed a restraining order against Mills. POLITICO has not independently confirmed the restraining order.

In a statement, Mills told POLITICO he believes Sabatini is “weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack.”“

The location of the alleged incident is in the northwest region of Logan Circle, a well-known and relatively central area of the city.

In addition to Coristine, the report references Emily Bryant as a second victim and describes her as Coristine’s “significant other.” A DOGE affiliate named Emily Bryant has been linked to the Federal Trade Commission, the General Services Administration, and the Executive Office of the President.

… According to the police report, officers patrolling the area of the alleged crime “observed a group of approximately 10 juveniles surrounding the complainants’ vehicle,” before allegedly assaulting one of the two victims.

The report also claims that Coristine “saw the suspects approach and make a comment about taking the vehicle." It claims that Coristine then “pushed” Bryant into the car. Then, according to the report, Coristine “turned to deal with the suspects. The suspects then began to assault [him].”…”

I would normally ask what the heck were a bunch of 14-16 year olds doing out and about at 3-4 am but apparently they were criming.

Big Balls has had quite a six months in DC, but sounds like he was trying to protect his date and certainly didn’t deserve to be assaulted by a pack of teens.

Walters said that every teacher moving to work in Oklahoma must pass the test in order to begin teaching, and that Conservative think-tank PragerU will assist in the development of the test.

“We put the Bible back in our history standards," Walters said, adding that the ‘America First’ test would include questions based on American history and “common sense.”

Walters said the teaching of gender identity in other states was one motivation for the test, which will roll out in time for the upcoming school year. “We started seeing states like California, New York, Maine as well, that are putting out directives… saying ‘In this state you’ve got to teach your 27 genders’,” he said.…”
