I've said since 1995 that GOP was becoming a fascist organization...of some type. I thought (and said) back just a few years that it was only a matter to time until we had the perfect storm... GOP control of 3 branches with a president with evil intentions. It's here...he's here! If that's what "the people" wanted...god bless 'em.

I watched a documentary series the other day called The Dark Side of Comedy. One of the episodes was about Andrew Dice Clay. They had footage of him at Madison Square Garden just screaming xenophobia and homophobia, not to mention the misogyny. The extremely large crowd was chanting the punchlines along with him, men and women, and cheering the obviously repeated jokes. It was like a Trump Rally set in 1989.

Would love to know how the Kennedy Center stuff plays with rank & file MAGA. My instinct is this is the wrong focus and does not help him with his base (even if they cheer something that they assume owns the libs), but I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ we’re talking about a broadcast that 4-7 million people watch in the last decade …

For non-MAGA this just adds to his golf playing club attending lack of connection to the rest of America. I mean

The homophobia in comedy in the 1980s was something else.
