I've said since 1995 that GOP was becoming a fascist organization...of some type. I thought (and said) back just a few years that it was only a matter to time until we had the perfect storm... GOP control of 3 branches with a president with evil intentions. It's here...he's here! If that's what "the people" wanted...god bless 'em.
Yeah same for me - thought someone here might have access.I'd love to read the article, but it's behind a paywall I can't get around.![]()
The homophobia in comedy in the 1980s was something else.I watched a documentary series the other day called The Dark Side of Comedy. One of the episodes was about Andrew Dice Clay. They had footage of him at Madison Square Garden just screaming xenophobia and homophobia, not to mention the misogyny. The extremely large crowd was chanting the punchlines along with him, men and women, and cheering the obviously repeated jokes. It was like a Trump Rally set in 1989.
Shitstain America has always been here, and very proud of themselves.

Andrew Dice Clay on Trump: 'This guy stole my whole act to become president'
Andrew Dice Clay dropped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where he accused president Trump of stealing his act. Dice Clay rose to fame in the ‘80s with his act that was vulgar, misogynistic, and full of behavior that would otherwise be unacceptable in society.www.yahoo.com
