Trump hitting multiple targets on his enemies list with this offshore windmill decision:

* windmills
* blue state (Rhode Island)
* Denmark (his demand for Greenland)

“…Wind-farm developer Orsted is caught in the crosshairs after Trump issued a stop-work order on the company’s Revolution project off Rhode Island on Friday — even though the development is already 80% completed. The move wiped 16% off Orsted’s share price, sending the already-struggling energy giant to a record low.”

Also, as an aside, I learned in a book I just read about Jim Jones that Guyana tolerated Jonestown in large part because they thought an American settlement near a disputed border with Venezuela would act has a shield preventing Venezuela from risking an incursion in the area for fear of American wrath.
I was about to post that...

I wondered about this. Maybe better if it blotted out the light entirely?

But it appears to be fake (?) as the actual banner seems to cover more than one window and is not a corner of the building (but maybe that is an internal office with opaque glass walls?)

Trump Orders Have Stripped Nearly Half a Million Federal Workers of Union Rights

The president, who has targeted collective bargaining contracts for nearly one million government employees, has said their functions touch on national security.

A lot of union members voted for Trump in the last election, presumably based on Trump’s readily available decades of history they knew they were voting for this [Teamsters apparently sold out their brethren as they seem to be exempt from these actions so far].

“… So far, nine agencies have terminated union contracts that covered more than 445,000 federal workers from the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, General Services Administration, the Departments of Health and Human Services, Agriculture and Veterans Affairs, and parts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Citizenship and Immigration Services. …”

“I’m one of the few people who can say he directed Trump. I directed Trump in [‘Celebrity’],” Allen recalled. “He was a pleasure to work with and a very good actor. He was very polite, hit his mark, did everything correctly and had a real flair for show business. I could direct him now. If he would let me direct him now that he’s president, I think I could do wonders.”

Curious to want to associate with Woody Allen at this point or take this as a compliment, but ok.

Am I wrong in believing that we are seeing more conflicts around the world than during the tenure of any previous administration?

Maybe he's asking them to do this, so he can pretend to step in and save the day, just racking up points for that Peace Prize he so clearly covets.

Seems serious about Trump being good to work with as an actor in a bit part, though.

This is why maybe Trump shouldn’t have amplified this otherwise mostly unremarked interview segment:
