Imagine you are a fisherman way out in North Korea, just minding your own business doing your every day fisherman shit and then the US FUCKING NAVY destroys your fishing boat and kills you and all your fishing buddies because you saw their little mini subs. And then there was no story - no justice - no "international incident" - nothing. You and your buddies are just dead. This story is outrageous and everyone should be screaming about it.

Modi’s cult of personality may become stressed by figuring out how to serve more than one master demanding public ring kissing.

I mean, that sucks but hindsight is 20/20. They had no idea those guys were civilians until after they were dead. The alternative could have been hundreds of dead US sailors and potentially even tens of thousands of dead civilians on both sides had conflict erupted into outright war. This didn't seem like anything malicious, just SEALS thousands of miles from home having to make a split second decision in the dark of night with no communications. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

It isnt "them" who should be questioned. It is the folks that put them in that position in the first place.

“The official cause of death for Dan Rivera, a paranormal investigator who died while handling the allegedly haunted Annabelle doll during a tour in Pennsylvania earlier this year, has been revealed.

Adams Count coroner Francis Dutrow confirmed in a Thursday statement that Rivera in July died as a result of cardiac issues and his death was ruled natural, according to several outlets.

He added that the Annabelle doll, which has inspired several titles in “The Conjuring” film franchise, was not in the hotel room when Rivera died at age 54.

The New England Society for Psychic Research announced Rivera’s death July 14, days after Rivera and another member of his team were seenhauling the doll into the Gettysburg Orphanage for a then-upcoming event.…”

That is fair. I recently finished reading Sean Naylor's book on the history of the Joint Special Operations Command, and it was pretty eye-opening. One thing I'll say is that these types of missions happen far more frequently than people realize. We don't hear about them unless they go terribly wrong, and even then we may not hear about them.

What? They were North Korean fishermen in the waters around North Korea. What the fuck are you talking about? It was an illegal Navy Seal operation, an unauthorized encroachment on North Korea's sovereignty and the murder of innocent civilians. And there weren't hundreds of Seals and they killed the fishermen so the Seals could cover their tracks. How is this anything but malicious? What is wrong with you?

And while it is a bit creepy I say this-I don't want to know. I don't want to know CIA ops either
Of course the problem with not knowing is that the wrong president can do some pretty shitty stuff

“… Lindsey Langston, who is currently Miss United States and a Republican state committeewoman from Columbia County, is seeking a restraining order against Mills, who has denied any wrongdoing. She broke down several times while testifying and said she went to law enforcement this summer only after Mills refused her requests to leave her alone. The lawmaker is married to another woman and first started dating Langston in late 2021.

… But Circuit Court Judge Fred Koberlein did not rule on Langston’s request because the hearing went beyond the 90 minutes set aside for it.

… Mills did get a chance to begin his rebuttal before the hearing ended. During brief testimony, Mills asserted his phone had been damaged and he no longer had possession of any nude photos or sex videos that he said Langston sent to him. He contended his messages to Langston about videos were referring to clips she had posted online about falling in love with another man.

At one point, Mills said he still cares for Langston and her family, but he added, “I’m finished with this relationship.”

He has previously said the allegations against him are being orchestrated by a “political rival” who unsuccessfully ran against him in the 2022 Republican primary. …”

“…
Part of the hearing focused on exactly why and when the two stopped talking. Langston and Mills acknowledged they had broken up at one point in 2023 but had gotten back together. Mills testified that during their breakup, she had gotten involved with someone she had met at Mar-a-Lago.

Langston was also asked whether she had asked Mills for help with tax issues after the February incident. She testified she told Mills her family was having problems with the IRS and that he offered help.”

“… The victim, yet to be identified, was attacked about 100 m (328 ft) from shore while surfing with friends just after 10 a.m. at Long Reef Beach, in the north of the capital of the Australian state of New South Wales, police said.

… He was pulled from the water by other surfers, but had lost too much blood and died at the scene, said police superintendent John Duncan of Sydney's Northern Beaches unit.

… Two sections of a surfboard were retrieved and taken for examination, police added.…

… There have been three other fatal shark attacks in Australia in 2025, data from the state-run operator of Sydney's Taronga Zoo shows. In March, a surfer was killed by a shark in shallow water on a remote beach in Western Australia.“
