and there you have it...

“OK, let me try that again: If a president defied the Supreme Court, what would you do?”

Coney Barrett then admitted that the court’s hands would largely be tied because there is a limited enforcement mechanism at its disposal.

Good to know for the next Democratic president. Thanks, ACB!

So basically, "we created a monster we can't control."

Who could have seen this coming. To think that so much could have been prevented if there were only some kind of prior example of this occurring somewhere in real life, literature, or film

Who ended the wars, then? Not presidents? The wars just ended themselves? I mean, goddamn. Again, even by Trump standards . . . but we might be witnessing Trump standards falling rapidly.

Also, he has started three by his definition, but you know . . .

I think Truman ended a war.

Quite an argument going on among right wing influencers about how to respond to the vile Young Republicans and the alt right more generally …

This woman is Vile

Karoline has a good salary and does as she is told. Her producers do an excellent job making certain she is well prepared. Irritating as hell but just the pustule of the carbuncle. Stephen Miller’s version of Tokyo Rose… “propaganda princess”

Good luck, Shapiro, James Lindsay, et al. If they lose this war—and the Republicans get devoured by the foreign-backed groypers and Jew-haters using them as a ridiculously easy lever to tear America apart—then America might indeed be torn apart. And when that happens, President AOC is a near-certainty. No pressure.

Malign foreign actors have realised that the new media space is easily and cheaply hacked—and can be weaponised against the West. By paying a few individuals and capturing others with fake audiences, they have hijacked the American Right, weakening it through infighting and extremism at the very moment it seemed unstoppable. This tactic has achieved in two years what the neo-Marxists spent decades attempting through their “long march through the institutions.” It will make them extreme—but also unelectable and powerless.

— or as a mandate for the rest of society to radically change course — is a complete inversion of moral responsibility. It’s the same logic that's justified every destructive cultural revolution.

Conservatism aims to conserve the good, not to conform to whatever's popular. Anyone — young or old — who doesn't understand this should be corrected, not followed.

“…
The Hungarian election, slated for April, is shaping up as the most competitive since Orbán, now 62, returned as prime minister in 2010 and grew into a global champion for traditional values, authoritarian politics and a beacon for the MAGA movement in the U.S.

In a diplomatic boost to Orbán, President Trump said Thursday he will hold his next summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Budapest.

We love Viktor,” Trump quipped at a peace conference in Egypt days earlier, telling Orbán that he is endorsing him once again. “You are fantastic. I know that a lot of people don’t agree with me, but I am the only one that matters.” …”
