What is even more … interesting … about it that deal is that it was done in a way that has US taxpayers paying for a billion dollar + retrofit of the plane to AF1 standards but it is being donated to Trump’s library when the previously purchased AF1 upgrade is available (which is likely before the retrofit can be complete), so Qatar got the ball rolling to get Trump a $1.5 billion aircraft (using a plane Qatari’s called a flying palace) for his post presidency.
