I saw that and it may be one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen.

It echos a cease & desist letter supposedly received by a supposed former employee of Claire’s who claims they were fired by Claire’s for online posts criticizing the Trump administration.

It looks like the trump administration wrote it.

It's got all the trump buzz words. It comes across as whiny and unprofessional.

Claire's, a company that sells cheap Chinese shit should have no dealings with the current administration, but I would imagine that the tariffs are killing them and that this letter and their choices are part of their plan to cave and be complicit to the fucking of America by this administration. They are effectively kissing his ass and caving to his extortion in hopes of a break from the tariffs.

Jesus Christ. So he's now claiming that he knew bin Laden was going to attack NYC and DC a year before it happened? The fact that anyone is still defending this guy continues to be a source of amazement.
Well, that actually explains Trump’s cavalier reaction to the attack when he was bragging about his building now being the tallest.

Hmmm…

I'm sure that Murrow is currently spinning in his grave at what his once-great news network has become. I fully expect Bari Weiss will make a mockery of the great legacy she's being handed. In 2005 George Clooney made a great little movie called "Good Night and Good Luck" about Murrow standing up to Joseph McCarthy at the height of the McCarthy Era, and the beginning and the end of movie has a famous speech by Murrow to a dinner of TV executives about the proper role and place of the news media in American life and television. And now a McCarthyite is basically being given the keys to his former network by the right-wing media conglomerate that has just purchased it. Just another sign of how far we've fallen.

C.I.A. Deputy Director Has Replaced Agency’s Top Legal Official With Himself

It is not clear what is behind the move by Michael Ellis, a Trump loyalist. A legal ethics specialist said it could raise conflict-of-interest issues.

“Michael Ellis, the deputy director of the C.I.A., has abruptly demoted a career lawyer who had been serving as the agency’s acting general counsel since January and installed himself in that role, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Ellis, who played a role in a series of controversies during President Trump’s first term, is also retaining his position as the No. 2 official at the C.I.A. John Ratcliffe, the agency director, had to authorize or could have overridden the move.

It was not clear what was behind Mr. Ellis’s taking personal control of making legal judgments for the agency while continuing to help lead it, but the move raised alarms among some current and former intelligence officials.

Stephen Gillers, a New York University professor of legal ethics, called the arrangement “rather bizarre.” Pointing to rules of professional conductfor lawyers that prohibit conflicts of interest, he said Mr. Ellis could serve as C.I.A. general counsel for matters in which he had no interest, but could not ethically give himself legal advice about issues that concern him — including whether policy actions he wants to take would be lawful.…”

Given how Republican Oklahoma is I doubt they're really willing to do an all-out investigation and publicize just how deep the rot and corruption and grifting in that department really went under Walters. They're more likely to do a superficial investigation, blame Walters for everything while fixing nothing, and then move on. And you can bet that his replacement will just be another anti-public ed Trumper, they'll just be less controversial and in-your-face than Walters was.

Trump orders approval of 211-mile mining road through Alaska wilderness

Donald Trump on Monday ordered the approval of a proposed 211-mile road through an Alaskawilderness to allow mining of copper, cobalt, gold and other minerals.

The long-debated Ambler Road project was approved in the US president’s first term, but was later blocked by the Biden administration after an analysis determined the project would threaten caribou and other wildlife and harm Alaska Indigenous tribes that rely on hunting and fishing.

In a related development, the White House announced it is taking 10% equity stake in Trilogy Metals, a Canadian company that is seeking to develop the Ambler site along with an Australian partner.…”

BUT investigation is pending - no word on whether this is arson or an accident — maybe just a random gas line leak/explosion?

No evidence fire at South Carolina judge's home was arson 'at this time,' law enforcement says

The cause of the fire isn't yet known, but Democrats were quick to blame the right after the judge had ruled against the Trump administration.

“… SLED Chief Mark Keel said that “at this time there is no evidence to indicate the fire was intentionally set” and that SLED agents “have preliminarily found there is no evidence to support a pre-fire explosion.”

The investigation, Keel said in a statement, was “active and ongoing,” as he urged “citizens, elected officials, and members of the press to exercise good judgment and not share information that has not been verified.”…”
