That’s one of the worst things about Trump. That he’s being used and he just doesn’t care.
Why would he care? He’s always been an amoral con man, and this is his ultimate con job. He doesn’t have to do any heavy lifting—just sign a few EOs, send out a few misspelled tweets each day to own the libs…and then sit back and reap the financial rewards of the grift while getting his ego stroked on the daily.

She sounds like the typical grifter we have these days who has learned she can profit from exploiting right wing grievances.
She also comes across as a total narcissist (just like Trump). Everything revolves around her. Everything she does and says is of the utmost importance. Everything she does is a great accomplishment. Everyone cares— or at least should care— about what she does or says. She has reached an unparalleled stage of enlightenment. When things don’t go her way, it is because she is a victim of those who either have not reached her stage of enlightenment or are trying to obstruct her inevitable path to all-time greatness. She shifts gears between self-aggrandizement and whininess.

Imagine being stupid enough to say that another country doesn't have crime.

Or to vote for or support someone that stupid
Or that trial by jury is "playing games."

If we didn't "play games" Trump's ass would be dead. The "general" would have fed Trump and his merry band of insurrectionists to hungry jackals.

If for whatever reason I decided to found a university, my first rule would be: no marble busts of my head shall be commissioned or displayed while I am alive. Edit: that's only after seeing that clip. Before seeing it, it would not have been a rule because I would not have thought it within the realm of possibility.

How embarrassing it should be -- though probably she doesn't feel it -- to celebrate yourself like that.

Also, working at the NY Times does not, in fact, get you a good table at a good restaurant anywhere in NYC.
