According to the AP the ships are there for a training exercise.We are apparently moving a carrier from the Mediterranean to the Coast off Venezuela
It's a building. Who cares.What a week! America has definitely been made great again over the last seven days. This brilliant administration has, without limitation:
1. Torn down 1/3 of the White House without letting anyone know in advance;
Unless I'm mistaken, Republicans have been offering a continuing resolution this whole time. In other words, they've been offering to do what the federal government does best and has been doing for a long time as it relates to the budget-kick the can down the road.2. Kept the government shut down over an issue that almost 3/4 of Americans think should be resolved as the Democrats have proposed;
The source is known and he's not a foreign adversary.3. Accepted $130 million from an unknown source, potentially a foreign adversary, that will be used to pay our military;
This may or may not be true.4. Committed multiple war crimes by using US military assets to blow foreign nationals out of the water without anything resembling due process;
The AP said some ships were deployed for a training exercise.5. Deployed a huge percentage of our Navy to the oceans around Venezuela, which may be one of the least threatening places anywhere in the world;
Trump has no power over Putin. He just wants to be able to say he ended another war. Either way, Donbas is likely lost.6. Attempted to force Ukraine to give up the entire Donbas in exchange for ... nothing? ... while Russia refuses to make any commitments whatsoever;
That will be decided in court7. Charged Letitia James for doing something that she did not do, but that at least two members of Trump's Cabinet did do;
The way Trump has handled tariff negotiations has been moronic since minute one.8. Cut off trade negotiations with our largest trading partner and formerly friendly neighbor because they made an ad with an accurate video of Reagan calling Trump's economic policy spectacularly stupid;
Another really dumb move.9. Pardoned a guy who ADMITTED to using his crypto platform, which has raised Trump's personal wealth by billions of dollars, to facilitate massive amounts of money laundering; and
10. Yet again, not released the Epstein files.
Well, the way YOU portrayed it - yes.Congrats, Ram! Congrats Zen! Congrats Pandemic! This has probably been Trump's best week yet!
You referring to this language from this article, which is not referring to the aircraft carrier?According to the AP the ships are there for a training exercise.
Yes, that's the article. It doesn't say anything about the number of ships. I haven't seen anything describing it as a large amount ("huge percentage"), which is what you said.You referring to this language from this article, which is not referring to the aircraft carrier?

A U.S. warship has docked in Trinidad and Tobago's capital as the Trump administration increases military pressure on Venezuela and its President Nicolás Maduro.apnews.com
Government officials from the twin-island nation and the U.S. said the massive warship will remain in Trinidad until Thursday so both countries can carry out training exercises.
A senior military official in Trinidad and Tobago told The Associated Press that the move was only recently scheduled. The official spoke under condition of anonymity due to lack of authorization to discuss the matter publicly.
Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, has been a vocal supporter of the U.S. military presence and the deadly strikes on suspected drug boats in waters off Venezuela.
