I don't care about insults. I care about basic decency. Anyone referring to someone in a way meant to strip them of their humanity is a piece of shit who doesn't need a seat at the table of discussion.

I didn't point out "illegal alien". Like you I don't care for the terminology but wouldn't consider it worthy of just kicking someone out.

I said referring to them as "the illegal" as if they don't even have enough humanity to warrant use of a noun is worthy of a ban. Someone doing that is absolutely doing so intentionally and it's being done repeatedly. There's no place for it.

I'm not for banning. I do understand your point. But if we ban everyone that post a word, term, or phrase we don't like how will that impact the longevity of the board?

Additionally, I can be mean at times and I don't want to be banned.

I sometimes feel hypocritical for pointing out Trump's childish behavior in name calling when I sometimes call names. Though I understand the difference in what you are describing.
