So I found out last night that the local Triad ABC affiliate is owned by Sinclair. I never watch Kimmel's show but was going to watch the monologue. I'll watch it on Youtube.

Such a lying sack of shit. NO way that ABC told anyone at the white house a damn thing about Kimmel's situation. Maybe someone from somewhere told someone else at the white house [what they had hoped happened].

And speaking of bad ratings, it has just dawned on me that Trump is still PISSED The Apprentice got cancelled by NBC for....wait for it....LOW RATINGS.

I am getting rid of Disney as soon as OMITB is done this season. It's way too expensive for the streaming service I watch the least. And if a Duke game is on ESPN's app then it's probably not a game I give a damn about.

The local ABC on my Hulu didn't carry Kimmel last night. Fuck 'em. My sub runs out in two more days and Disney can stay fucked.
It’s not just Disney. Find out who owns your local stations, including local ABC. As others have alluded to, Sinclair are notorious pieces of shit essentially aligned with fox news. And separately, Nexstar is trying to get a merger with Tegna approved by the FCC (i.e. Brendan Carr). So both of those station groups preempted Kimmel last night (and indefinitely).

Tegna aired the show. Make your voices heard if it was preempted in your area.

Watched Kimmel live and recorded Colbert whose primary guest was Gavin Newsom. As Colbert noted [probably correctly] nobody was watching except for his family and the studio audience but his interview with Newsom was fantastic. I recommend finding it on the Colbert/Late Show youtube channel.

I'm not a Kimmel fan, but I hope he comes back and continues his anti-Trump stuff, just to give a big, fat middle finger to Carr and Trump.
Glad Kimmel is doing this. Keep pushing. Don't give in to that fat, orange piece of shlt.

Jimmy Kimmel fires back at Trump over threat to sue ABC: 'He's a bully'

Jimmy Kimmel is once again hitting back at President Donald Trump.

The late-night host on Sept. 24 responded to Trump threatening a lawsuit against ABC for bringing "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" back on the air following a controversial suspension. Shortly before Kimmel's show returned on Sept. 23, Trump posted on Truth Social that he "can't believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back."

"You can't believe they gave me my job back?" Kimmel fired back. "I can't believe we gave you your job back."

The president in his Truth Social post also threatened to sue ABC over the late-night show, saying that Kimmel puts the network in "jeopardy," and "I think we're going to test ABC out on this." ABC News previously reached a settlement after Trump sued over comments that anchor George Stephanopoulos made involving E. Jean Carroll, who has accused the president of sexual assault. "Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars," Trump posted on Truth Social. "This one sounds even more lucrative."

"Only Donald Trump would try to prove he wasn't threatening ABC by threatening ABC," Kimmel joked. "You almost have to feel sorry for the people who work for him, who try to clean up the messes."
